After struggling with smart plugs from other companies, I’ve come back to Wemo because of the reliability of their smart plugs and their compatibility with HomeKit. I had the Wemo Insight smart plug and was frustrated to find it needed a hub to connect to HomeKit so I purchased this which does not require a hub to connect to HomeKit. With a coffee maker with a simple on/off switch this was a quick addition.

I use it to operating automatic feeders, take actions on operating the filter systems and even running the denitrification systems. I also keep track of the power consumption and turn on aeration systems. I am using 7 switches at the present time. The software needs update to make the turn-off function available for many devices separately. Need per hour programing along with days. Also needs higher time resolution of < 1 minute. It get clunky with many devices with actions many times per day. Needs inputs to operate outputs on a if/then basis. Need an input units (on/off contact) to create an action on an output (using 1 or more inputs). A motion sensor or some other sensor with a contact switch can message to one of these output switches to turn on the light or pump.

how does this work with air conditioner? are you able to control the speed or temperature? does it only turn on the ac? I dont get it
