Silence is golden!
Comments about Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones Android (White):
Finally! A pair of earphones that stay in my ears and have great sound, oh, and not to mention they are extremely comfortable for long hours. When working out, cleaning, working or simply relaxing I don't have to constantly adjust them; no ear aches either. The noise cancellation is very good with extremely good battery life! I went for a few runs outside during prime traffic hours (don't worry the sidewalk and highway are separated by trees, so I don't have to be on high alert.). Five minutes into my run I turned on noise cancellation and was amazed how the busy world around me came to an abrupt end. Noise cancellation really focuses you into whatever task you're doing. It's just you, your music and your task. I even enjoyed noise cancellation without the music, despite the slight hiss you hear when music isn't playing. Noise cancellation is so enjoyable I now can't go to work without these earphones. Sometimes at work I sit right next to a portable A/C unit so all day I hear constant blowing. I never realized I heard that blowing until I shut on noise cancellation and voila, it was gone. Now everything isn't perfect with these earphones. My only complaint is the battery unit. It tends to get in the way. Especially, when taking your phone in and out of your pocket. My fear is that with time the battery and cord will develop a shortage from the constant pulling and bending you take it through. Also, when I put my phone into my workout sleeve I have to take an extra few minutes to organize my phone and battery into the sleeve. This gives me the impression that Bose didn't design these earphones for a lot of moving activity. You may want to consider an alternative if you're really active and sweat a lot. If you don't mind the being a little careful then you should be ok. Overall, I highly recommend these earphones. I don't find them to be overhyped even with the steep pricing point. You definitely get what you pay for! P.S. Just as I was about to hit 'enter' and then my earphones started to have shortage.

It's like sitting in a vacuum
I bought the QC20 3 months ago so I could enjoy music on my airline flights and not be bothered by a chatty seat mate (yes I am one of those). As my title states it is like sitting in a vacuum when you engage the noise cancelling. The sound quality is excellent and I am hearing background notes I never even know were in the songs that I have listened to for 40+ years. I also own a pair of regular BOSE ear buds and the QC20's are a major improvement in sound quality, probably because of the noise cancelling feature (both are excellent choices). Only issue I have had with them and it is not and issue with BOSE is that on a recent overseas flight I had the voices of two passengers penetrate the noise cancelling frequency and kept me up all night on an overnight flight. It didn't stop me from using them on the return flight and won't in the future, was probably a less than 1% occurrence..
Noise Cancelling is the best!
Listen if you are going to buy headphones from Bose they have to be noise cancelling, for me it makes all the diference in the world, well almost because the sound is excellent compared to other brands.

Excellent Service for Comfort and Clarity
I was given these headphones as a gift over the summer. I ride a Kawasaki Ninja as my main source of transportation. Oftentimes I've been rained on with these in my ears. They never stop working. I'm not saying their water proof, but they've definitely taken my rough lifestyle. Though not without showing wear, the material around the rechargeable battery started to peel off, though I know its because they've gotten wet so many times. I recently lost the tips, and called in to see how I could buy more. I informed the representative that my friend also got me Apple ones instead of Samsung, as I have Samsung. They're not only sending me an entirely new pair, new tips and everything, they're sending me the correct Samsung version. Rest assured, Bose will take care of you. As to performance, once I turn on that noise reduction switch, I am in an entirely different world. I have definitely angered off my boss at work more than once because I cannot hear her banging on the door for me to let her into the bakery, despite standing right next to the door. That's just the thing though, I don't like hearing her. During study time here at VT I can turn the volume down slightly so as to not distract me, turn on the noise reduction, and be fully engrossed in my work. They include a different range of sizes for the tips, and I have ran with them without a singly issue. They stay in my ears and are extremely comfortable. Unlike other in ear headphones, they do not start to hurt after a long period of use. Speaking of which I never am disappointing with battery life. If they do happen to run out, a short charge will last you a very long time. These headphones will not disappoint you.

Even great for gaming...
I have owned these for over a year now. I am a veteran Bose aficionado and presently own and use several different headsets as well as PC and home sound systems. I have yet to find any other brand of headphones that have the quality packaging, feel, and deliver the quality true sound experience that Bose does. These particular headphones excel in noise cancelling, cinematic emersion, music performance, and even work well in gaming environments as a game sound and chat device using it on Xbox One through the 3/8ths comm port on the controller. The 9p degree connector is ideally suited for this as well but the short tail should have been a little longer on the battery, maybe 5 cm or so more. The mic pics up well but cancels about as well as the noise cancelling of the headset reduction of outside noise ability does. I do use these occasionally even when I could use the bluetooth Bose headset because of it's noise cancelling even with the trade off of smaller drivers.
Not what I expected
Recently purchased these to block out sound from fellow employees, even with the white noise background I can here conversations from 3 desks away. I'm not interested in listening to music I want to completely drown out the conversations around me.......any suggestions?
Noise Canceling Ear Buds That Wrok
I got the QC20 for my wife and she loved them. She gave away her QC-15's. I tried them and fell in love. I have been using the android model. I kept my QC-15's and do find them a bit more effective, if more cumbersome, on long flights. But I use my QC-20's at the gym, on shorter flights, in the car, and in my shop. The QC-20s are the only noise canceling earbuds I have tried that actually work. I bought the Sony model when it came out. I have tried a few knock offs. None really worked. The Bose QC 20's actually work. If you are into fine audio quality this review will not help you much. I am not an aficionado. I am into sound canceling effectiveness, clarity of podcasts and clarity movies, and coping with conference calls in noisy airports. By the way the Android model works fine on Apple products (with fewer button controls) but the Apple model will not work properly on Android phones. (You can listen but the microphone will not work)
Awesome noise cancelation
I bought them two weeks ago and I just love the noise cancelation feature. I travel a lot by car and the difference with the cancelation on and without is huge. A very good thing about them is that you don't have to increase volume when you are in a noisy environment and damage your hearing :). Btw the sound quality is OK, I guess it could be better for this price. The ear buds stick in your ear very tight. They are also very comfortable. You can use them for pretty much the whole day and you'll still be ok, your ears won't really hurt. You won't have any problem with the battery I charge it every three days and use the headphones every day. I think it's OK. The battery is not so big and it fits very well in your pocket. It won't also scratch your phone's screen because it's covered with a nice material that seems to be a bit like a gum or sth. The only problem is that it catches all the dust from your pocket.

Not worth buying
Had these for 2 hours and took them right back to store for a full refund. Have 2 other Bose products. Love them! But these were a huge let down. Sound quality was poor. Noise Cancel was ok but volume very low.

Sound cancellation stopped working after 1 day!!!
Bought these headphones after doing some research and checking out a lot of reviews. Seemed like most people praise them pretty highly so I took the plunge and bought these even though they're a bit pricey. Received my earphones and was eager to try them out the first evening I got them. Was super impressed with the sound cancellation function and used them for about 4 hours the first day I got them and was really happy. Then the next day I put them on to listen to some music while I worked at the computer and I started getting terrible popping and static coming from the left earbud whenever the sound cancellation was activated. Thought it might be a bad connection, but no. Tested it plugged into my computer, phone, hand held game console, and even unplugged. Same issue, terrible popping and static no matter what whenever the sound cancellation is activated. This is the worst experience I've had with such an expensive product in a long time. Did not expect this from Bose.
