THE Best Noise Cancelling that money can buy!
Comments about Bose - QuietComfort 20i Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones - Warm Gray:
I've owned the QC15s, QC25s and now the QC20s for Apple devices. Let me first start off by stating that the fit was flawless, for earbuds, and the design ensures they don't fall out of the ear. I loved my QC25s, but after hearing the difference in noise cancellation, I don't even use the QC25's anymore. With the QC20s, I'm able to drown out all of the backdrop noise at work (i.e., 15 - 20% more than QC25s, to me) and the television from family members when I'm at home. It's eery how well the noise cancelling works. I'm not an audiophile, but these are the best headphones I've ever owned and I thought I'd never be able to say that about a pair of earbuds. The only minor gripe I have is that the case seems a bit small, which forces you to bend the cables near the noise cancellation component. I just worry about the effects over time, but I guess it's ok, as I haven't read any reviews regarding defective or broken wiring as a result. Anyways, 5 stars!!!

A Quality Product
I don't typically write reviews for products but these QC20i earbuds have literally changed my daily commute to/from work on Chicago's CTA Commuter Train system. The noise cancelling is astonishing given the amount of ambient noise, all the while while maintaining the clarity of the audio that would normally be drowned completely out. The only suggestion I would make is to find a method to attach the noise cancelling module to the player (in my case, an iPod touch) I tried to use velcro but it wouldn't stick to the material of the module so instead, I secure it to the back of my iPod with a simple rubber band...

Like to show it off.
I brought this a week ago and its by far better than any beats i had. As a 17 year old in New York City constantly taking the train and hearing noises, these headphones cancel out everything. They work wonders, however i do want to try the Q25s to compare them. The only annoying thing is having the battery adapter at the bottom. It ruins the speed of putting your phone away and its a hassle. Which makes me want to try the Q25. They should make a all black pair.
I've been using (the older model) QC 20 for two plus years now and still there is nothing available in the market close to this and hence I'm planning to buy another. The comfort especially on the long 12+ hrs flights is exceptional. Also for the long teleconferences there is nothing more comfortable. The ear piece is exceptional and very durable. I wished the battery pack (brown plastic casing) was more durable especially in warmer weather. But still no loss or degradation of its full functionality.

I bought it since October and I am using it almost 5 days a week on an average of 3-4 hours. It completely isolates you from your surroundings, no matter the traffic and noise surrounding you. Battery Life is also perfect, I guess i have recharged it maximum

Way above expectation
I bought a pair of these for a trans-atlantic flight. Having never owned a 'decent' pair of noise cancelling headphones, I figured I would go with Bose due to reputation more than anything. The instant silence when turning them on at an airport was the first sign that I'd made a good choice! I was sitting on a plane for 10 hours, in a window seat that looked out to the engine, and had a screaming 4-5 month old kid behind me... and just didn't care! Noise cancelling is incredible, sound quality is fantastic at any volume, and the 'Aware' mode is extrememly useful for quick moments when you need to jump back in to the outside world. My girlfriend got a pair of the QC25 over-the-ear headphones, and her opinion was equally as high on those. I would say that the choice comes down to personal preference on in-ear vs over-ear. But I will add that the 'Aware' function is not there on the QC25.

The Bose Quiet Comfort 20 ear phones are unbelievable! I'm still trying to figure out how Bose was able to come up with this great technology. At one press of a button all outside sound is cancelled out, there is very minimal outside sound at all. I thought that by wearing them around for a few days I would get used to the effect, but every time I go from noise cancellation mode to regular mode it really surprises me! I also tried these recently during travel by plane and noise was cancelled out and I was able to enjoy my music with relaxation and sleep with no interruptions, which is what I need as I am a frequent traveler. Bose you have done it again with your great products and I recommend these to anyone! Thank you!
Short Lived (17 Months) and Pricey
I've owned my Bose QC earphones since May 2014. Before I bought them I shopped around and felt I'd rather spend the extra money to insure the best possible experience. I know something about sound because I'm a mild audiophile and I've done talk radio magazines and news. Although I've felt like I had to take special care of my QC earbuds because they're small and I'm big (I didn't see them as having a robust build) I'd been very happy with them. It's because they're small that they were especially portable, and fit safely in my laptop case or shirt pocket. So they aren't a bulky storage fit like full-sized studio headphones. An unanticipated plus was that they turned out to be helpful and excellent on business calls on my iPhone, because the sound quality of the calls was more intelligible and more pleasant. I originally bought them to preserve my sanity against the noise of commercial airline flights. They were surprisingly helpful for that and I was glad I got them. Despite the background noise, I could listen to movies at a reasonable sound level on my iPad or PC laptop. That increased my happiness and made me a calmer traveler :-) One Spring Chicago night I even strolled around the downtown loop area; had I not had them the environmental sound levels would have been very upsetting. I thank Bose for these things. I had come to depend upon these earbuds. Just like my ancient Bose Wave Radio/CD player that serves its beautiful sound as my PC's speakers, day-in, day-out, for many years. I listen to audiobooks and guided meditations. I have taken good care of my earbuds. I'm not a skateboarding thrasher ;-) But, last night when I queued up a meditation for private listening, the right earbud was inexplicably silent. Zero sound. There's no damage either earbud, and not even a frayed, twisted, or detached cord. Each and every time I wasn't using them, these were tucked carefully and safely into their case. The earbuds and cords look good enough that they might even pass for new. And if I'd done something unexpected to the sound controller, from long experience with electronics, I'd surmise both earbuds would have broken. But the left one works. So, now that I've come to depend on a product like these, I'm not inclined to dive right back into another pair. So I must shop around again. Sigh.
