We love it!
Comments about Bose® SoundTouch® 10 wireless music system:
Music is so much a part of our world and we love to listen to our music. The sound is great and the features are very nice. Thinking about buying another one so I can listen to my favorite local station while working.

Again, Great Speakers but Horrible App!
The speakers are wonderful, and the system works as a good radio streaming service, but I have had endless problems with the sound touch app. Hours and hours of tech support and flailing around trying to sync the app to my iTunes library. Recent upgrade of the app made it worse rather than better. There isn't even a progress indicator to let you know if the app is syncing with the library, or how much has synced. As a result I have access through the app to about 15% of my library (less than I had before the much touted upgrade), with partial albums, jumbled track lists, and many, many missing albums. I have been a devoted Bose customer for 30 years, bought about a dozen products, and have always held the company up as an example of professionalism and high quality. But this is deeply disappointing, and reflects badly on Bose for not figuring this stuff out by now. Compared to other apps and music services, this looks clumsy and amateur, and at least for me, has defeated the purpose of buying the Soundtouch system, which was to integrate and access all my music sources through one device. Now things are more rather than less complicated if I want to access my library, which has some wonderful music that is not always easy to track down on music streaming services.
Poor Bluetooth connectivity
So I get you did market research and concluded that Bluetooth is a more universally used way to connect to a wireless speaker. A lot of brands don't do that before making a drastic change to their products, so kudos. BUT if you remove air play and don't stream from Apple Music then your Bluetooth better be on point. In this case it's not. It's actually pretty terrible. I live in a 650 sq ft apt and my music constantly drops off even within a couple of feet. Forget about it if I turn a corner. I'm pretty sure your research insights team mentioned that taking away choices only work if what's left works remarkably well. And if they didn't, it's a conclusion that any marketer would have reached on their own. So I'll probably give this speaker away to someone who doesn't mind plugging in their phone and I'll get a sonos, which I'm sure is the exact opposite behavior you wanted to see after taking the time and effort to make this speaker and to conduct market reaearch prior to launch. Also the app is far from user friendly or attractive to use. Again, things that should have come up in your research as vital.

i expected what i got
the st10 is my first bose speaker system i've used the ear buds before. it's compact, stylish, and sounds great. even when i crank it up for Free Bird! plus the operation/controls are at your finger tips on your phone or tablet
would have been better if handled high freq well
I bought ST 10 recently, i feel that it suppresses higher frequencies, vocal are clear, decent on lows, had it been slightly bright or if there would have been a treble controller , this would be a really great system
Great for travel even though it needs to be plugged in! Doesn't take a lot of space and like other Bose systems I've owned over the years the quailty is excellent. Highly recommend! Can't beat the price either!

say nay to the airplay nay sayers!
I don't understand what the whining is about. I use android but my son uses his iphone here all the time to play his music. No whining about airplay, so kids, use your bluetooth on those precious pieces of i-whatever. I wrote this to negate the 1 star review that I saw that was whining about lack of airplay. 1: get over yourself and 2: use your blue tooth connection. These speakers are awesome. I owe 2, a 10 and a 20. awesome, easy to use app, great sound, what more could you want?
Can't keep Bluetooth connected
By Gregg B
Everything is great with the exception of the Bluetooth. I turn it off and I have to go through the pairing process to connect to my phone again the next time. This happens everytime! It drives me nuts. Worst Bose product I've ever had and it's only based on that fail.
Great hardware, poor app
Without doubt, the sound quality of the SoundTouch 10 is fantastic for such a compact speaker. I can't fault the hardware nor the speaker sound quality and I don't mind that it is a little heavier than I expected. However, the user experience is seriously let down by the SoundTouch app which is clunky and feature poor. My primary use of the SoundTouch is for internet radio stations which are usually a great source for "music discovery" or serendipity but this is completely defeated by the app which doesn't display the IDv3 meta data. That's a fundamental omission by the developers and inexcusable. I have given a 4-Star rating solely based on the quality of the hardware and the sound quality. I'm afraid the app deserves only 2-Stars. On the hardware side, can I suggest a push-button sequence to put the speaker immediately in to 'WPS Push Button pairing mode' instead of always having to use "setup mode" and the app?
