Unit turns itself off
Comments about Bose® SoundTouch 20 Wi-Fi® Music System:
I bought this device a couple of months ago and except for a couple dropped wifi connections it has worked well, except it has one critical failure. When the device is set to aux input, it turns itself off after 10 minutes or so of inactivity and that can't be disabled. If you intend to connect this to a TV or an Echo Dot, find a different product as you will have to turn the speaker back on every time you want to use it.

great over all speaker and value
I have had this for over a year and have been pleasantly surprised about how this mid-sized speaker preforms. I live in a multistory townhouse(skinny and tall) and can hear this one speaker throughout very clearly the app is decent too but has a small learning curve. the only negative is that I wish it was a little easier to play music from your library besides online sorces through the app.i will soon be adding some 10 series to my home soon.

Should have purchased it sooner
This thing is awesome. Tried some other solutions but glad I finally ended up here. Works great stand alone over wifi, or a great partner to an Echo Dot. Sound quality is very good - not my first small Bose speaker, but the best sounding of the 3 I own. Worth the price. Just buy it.

This is an awesome music system. I have paired it with the 300 soundbar, the 300 rear surround speakers. This pairing is able to easily fill our home, balcony and patio with music. The music system by itself can fill the two rooms on our second floor with music. I have been a Bose customer 20+ years. This is an example why I do not buy such products from their competition.

I have bought Bose products for the past 30 years and I have not been disappointed yet.I bought a SoundTouch 20 two weeks ago and will be adding another soon.30 year old 301's still going strong as well as 10 year 901's.
Great system if not for constant network drops
I got the sountouch 10 and 20. As expected, the sound is amazing and the bose app has many good features that allow to listen to music from different sources. However, the speakers constantly get dropped off the network making it an extremely frustrating experience. I have one of the speakers placed right next to the router and another in a different room. Regardless of the location, the speakers get dropped (show in dashed lines in the app and not responsive) all the time! Sometimes one of the speakers disappears, sometimes both. Conclusion: sound is great, softwear is the worst and has not gotten any bettet in the year that I've had it.

Easy to set up!
Bought for living room and set up was fast and super easy!
Nice sound, inconvenient use
Sound is very good for the price but the app's search features are not user friendly. I have a large iTunes library and the only search feature is by Track. Really? You can select Artist but you have to scroll thru all of them. Genre used to sort by Artist now it's by album. We need choices!

Surprisingly great sound. Easy to set up.
I have many, many Bose products and added this one about a month ago and am quite impressed. I had read some reviews that noted some difficulty in connecting but I experienced none of that. But also note that moments after I turned it on and connected it to my home wi-fi, I got a software upgrade message on the unit. Took about five minutes and then adding various channels was easy. The six presets are fine for me since I mainly listen to SiriusXM, Pandora and AmazonMusic. All connected quickly and I also was pleased to discover that I can use the presets for different stations within the same app. One heads up is that Spotify only can be connected if you are using their premium (paid) package. My biggest revelation was when I placed the unit in the same listening room with my 15-year-old Acoustic Wave System I. I assumed the Wave sound would blow away this smaller unit, but the sound was glorious, especially the bass. The depth of the sound was beautiful, especially considering the wi-fi source compared with my Wave's CD music (but, again, I've had the Wave since 1999). It's also fun to turn on my favorite stations from my upstairs bedroom (using the iPhone app) and have the sound filling my downstairs before I get there. Another excellent Bose product with excellent sound. Highly recommended.
