Good sound, lousy WiFi, terrible setup
Comments about Bose® SoundTouch 20 Wi-Fi® Music System:
After using it in my cafe as an AUX speaker (because the music would continuously stutter when on wifi, even if the access point was only a few feet away), I decided to bring the unit home. Obviously, I have to setup the speaker to connect to a new network. Using the same iPhone which I originally setup the speaker with, it could not locate the speaker. So I decided to start from scratch and restore factory settings. Still couldn't find the unit. I tried using my laptop but it's requiring setup via USB or Ethernet. The supplied USB cable is not with me and it doesn't help that my laptop is the USB-C MacBook. So back to my iPhone I went. I deleted and reinstalled the soundtouch app. I went through all the steps but it just won't allow me to click on "continue" despite having switched to the Bose network. I whipped out an Ethernet cable and just connected straight to the router. That got it working finally. Now I can AirPlay now and play some Spotify. I preset some Spotify stations but there's a lot of buffering. Best I can do is use Apple Music and AirPlay. In the end, it's not at all a simple system. Requires a lot of patience and technical know-how. Cumbersome setup. Very weak Wi-Fi, lousy streaming. It's got great sound, and that is the only thing going for he SoundTouch because right now, it's only working as a Bose WIRED speaker.

Easy and simple features!
I bought my Bose-SoundTouch 20 Series II few months ago and had been using it for my laptop and tablet. I was able to listen music from various stations around the world specially from local FM stations from my home country. They should add more pre-set stations. The sound is great.
I had this thing about Bose, always wanted even a pair of headphones, so i finally went for my sound touch II, and now, from my mac, my ipad and my iphone i've been enjoying the quality of such a good product, i'm so happy that i'll be looking soon for an upgrade. The setup is so easy and my wifi experience is great, i haven't had any problem, smooth performance.

Have owned various Bose products through the years and never disappointed with there sound or quality, you get what you pay for. I have had the soundtouch 30 for a month now and I use it with a apple iMac with a apple airport time capsule for wifi, it was a ease to set up, the sound is excellent for the size of the soundtouch 30.
JAMMING To The BEATS!!!
My 1st purchase of the SoundTouch was a year ago, once I received this speaker and realized I could have multiple speakers in various rooms, I put this to the ultimate test. I was hosting a party and didn't want to blast the one SoundTouch; therefore, I purchased three more, for three other rooms. The sound and the volume in each room was amazing, not loud, but the atmosphere appeared as though we were in a 5 Star setting. Regardless of which room we entered, we could here the music, the clarity of sound was phenomenal, and we could hear one another speaking. Because of this event and the sound affect of traveling from one room to the next, hearing the sound of music with these speakers, prompted me to purchase 3 more for a dear friend. I've purchased a total of 3 SoundTouch 30, and 4 SoundTouch 20. I have no regrets for the investment I made purchasing seven of these SoundTouch Speakers. Thanks Bose, we really enjoy this product.
A friend has the SONOS system and I really liked it. Sounded great looked great.. but (there is always a but, isn't there) I thought that the bass was kind of medium. Having experience with BOSE with their earphones and TV-gear, I thought I'd give them my money. I was amazed, by the sound!!! I can throw out my old stuff now. One drawback, that I find, though, is that the radiochannel-list is so limited. Some of the BIG stations on the web, cannot be found! Why is that? I'm desperately searching for "Platinum Rock Radio" (for example) and it just is not there!
Airplay constantly drops. Poor Wi-Fi Experience
My wife bought me this speaker and we gave it several days try. Anytime I got AirPlay to work, the next time, it would require me to go through a 20 minute 'forget and reset' process to allow me to re-recognize the speaker for use again. Same thing with her iPhone (I have a 6+ and hers a 6). Never have seen such a poor Wi-Fi experience. Sounds nice but useless AirPlay. Worst of all, it was bought out of country so we may very well be stuck with this paper weight.

I wish Bose software can add an alarm clock to this
Much better than SONOS
By Love it
I was very skeptical when shopping for a bookshelf sized, room filling entertainment system to pair with my media devices. Through countless hours of research, trial and error, I decided to take the Bose plunge. Am I ever so glad I did. Bose has a way of projecting serious symphonic sound in a compact package with enormous features not seem in similar devices. More, when comparing with the SONOS, the ease of use, sound, price, and product support are incomparable! Thanks Bose for getting it right!!!
