Great for Bass... a little too much Bass
Comments about Bose® SoundTouch 30 Wi-Fi® Music Systems:
I purchased this item and enjoyed it completely -- it does everything as advertised. There are two things that I didn't like. 1) There is too much bass. If all you care about is bass, and don't mind sacrificing some high notes, then get these speakers. But if you like some high notes in your music, then the bass on this system will dampen it enough to be noticeable. Unfortunately, you cannot control the bass on the app, or on the speakers itself (by pressing a button or turning a dial). Remedy for BOSE: Allow us to control the bass and the treble by using a button or dial. 2) You cannot play music from your phone as easily as it looks. The only thing you can do on your phone is use the app to select which station to switch to (Pandora, iheartRadio, etc.). Your computer can be a station too, which is the only way you can play your own personal music, but there is a catch to using your computer. You can only play music that you have put in a playlist -- you cannot use your phone to browse through the computer and select songs, the songs must already be in a playlist. This means no impromptu songs. Remedy for BOSE: Allow us to use our phones to browse our computers for music in any folder. 3) No YouTube, or songs from an Internet browser. You cannot search the internet and stream music from a browser. You must use the 6 stations they provide, which does not include YouTube or Vimeo. Remedy for BOSE: Get YouTube and allow streaming from a browser.

The music you want the way you want it
I love this system. It allows me to listen to my music the way I want. The music sounds amazing, and there is no "setup" whenever I listen. It truly is push and play, with amazing quality. I can't praise it eonough.

Enjoying my Sound Touch 30 and wondering if I can add a second one for a "stereo sound" in my studio.
Love it! --- But.....
Love the Bose products... I got the Soundtouch 30... I really enjoy the richness of the music that comes out of it... I would really like it much more if the unit would stop not recognizing my NAS drive.. Many times I have to reset the unit to factory default.. Other than this, it is an awesome product. I give it three stars...

Recently bought the Bose SoundTouch 30, and couldn't be happier. Sound quality is great, it has such an easy setup, it connects directly and easily to local and international radio stations, spotify, and the music stored in my phone. And you can set preset so you listen to what you want at the push of one button. Fills the living room (which is large with high ceiling) wih lovely deep sound. Has become totally indispensable to us.
All I can say is....WOW!
Amazing sound for something so small. The bass thumps, the treble chirps and the sound fills the room. I bought this for our game room which is about 900 square feet with a rather low ceiling (maybe 8 ft). It fills the room with sound to spare. I was amazed by the amount of bass put out by this unit. Considering the size, it's unbelievable that the walls and floors vibrate. I've mostly been streaming Pandora and it hits the mark. Not only is the sound great but it is super easy to set up and control. This was the fourth unit I've added to the house (I have the 525, the 20 and the SA5 attached to 4, 251s) and I think for the size, this has the best sound. The price is steep but this is probably the best sounding product, based on size Bose has sold in a while. Buy it!!
Haven't owned a radio in many years
This is a wonderful radio. Good sound, good looking and stations from all parts of the world. Whodathunkit.
Something is wrong

My wife and I bought this soundtouch a week ago everything was great so far but when we tried to use the aux plug in it didn't work. We changed it but it's still the same.
Exceeded my expectations
My wife got me a Soundtouch30 and two Soundtouch10's as an anniversary gift a month or so ago. I am delighted with the system in every way. Initial setup and pairing was fast and easy. The app is a fantastic interface to control the system -simple, fast, intuitive. Sound quality is excellent. I'm no "audiophile" , but I'm more than pleased with the rich, full sound from the 30. The sound quality from the "10"s is at least as good as I expected, considering the size of those speakers - we have one in a bathroom, the other in a bedroom, and they are more than adequate for rooms that size. One of the main attractions of this system for me was the "redundant" controls - they can be operated from the app, from the remote or from the touch pad on the speakers. We find ourselves using all of the different control options regularly, especially in the smaller rooms, where you can quickly turn on a speaker ( the power up and connect in about five seconds) and then easily turn it off again as you walk out of the room. When we are sitting in our living room listening to the 30, then we typically use the app on our iPads. My only (very) minor suggestions to Bose would be to have small indicator lights on the channel buttons on the 10, so you could see which channel is selected without pulling out your phone. It's a trivial thing, but would be helpful. Love the system, no complaints about the cost/value equation, highly recommend it!
The soundtouch 20 is a great sounding speaker plagued with connectivity issues. We can only use it reliably as a teathered speaker in auxillary mode. I've suffered with this thing for three years now and finally switched to another proprietary multi room system which is flawless. (hint, its spelled the same front and backwards) The setup process through the bose app on an iphone is excruciating and takes multiple attempts to connect to any network. We've tried it at home, at work and at a friend's house. All had issues. Once it does accept the network settings. It may play for an afternoon, a day, or an hour but eventually it starts to cut out, then it just stops. No attempts to restart or change stations seems to get it to reconnect. Bose makes a great speaker but can't seem to get the connectivity kinks worked out.
