My Aunt bought me this slim filter Brita so I could save money from purchasing bottled water. I will be saving money in the first 2 weeks . What a winner!!!
Disappointed, to put it mildly.
I bought this picture because I had moved and left my old one behind. When I saw this compact one at the supermarket I thought it would make a nice replacement. since I no longer needed a big one. When I first bought it I had the old type filter and it worked ok. It was time to change the filter with the new and improved filter that says it can be used in any Brita. NOT! The filter falls out when you pour the water. The lid is impossible to get off without a struggle and the filter doesn't fit in the hole properly so the water leaks around the seal and tastes almost as bad as the water out of the tap. I have always had a Brita.. This is the first one that I didn't like. Not to mention having a supply of new filters that don't fit..
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Filtered water black sediment
I have notice that my two gallon pitcher that is use for filtered water transfer has accumulated sediment .I do not think that black sediment is normal
My nutritionist said drink water. But the tapwater tasted funny. Now I keep my slim Brita pitcher on the table. It's just the right size -- and I drink water!
Fits anywhere in the fridge.
Just bought this today and very excited to try it out!
Keeps on working well
I beliee this is one of thee fist brita pitchers. uses it for years. will keep on using it. If it eer breaks I will replace it. I hae dropped many timmes no cracks. It is ery durable
Love My BrittaFilters (yes I have 2)
I have had both pitchers for some years now. I keep one on the counter and one in the refrigerator. Sometimes I need room temperature water, such as taking medicines, but prefer to drink cold water.
Love the size
Great for smaller fridge and for one person. If larger house get the bigger size
Chemistry Brita review
In my chemistry class we did a lab where one of our group members had to bring water from their home. With that water we conducted a test to check different parameters (iron, lead, bacteria, chlorine,pH,copper, water hardness, and nitrates). After collecting the results we then began to filter our water to reduce certain parameters that were high for each of our water samples. For our group we had a bit of nitrates in our water and a high level of water hardness. After using the Brita filter our group conducted the lab again and noticed that our water hardness levels went down from 175 to 120 and the nitrates reduced from 1 ppm to 0 ppm. Although we could not test to see if the other parameters would have been reduced but I would recommend using Brita filters because they are a good way to reduce hardness and nitrate levels.
