hard to clean why dont you just sell the Gourmet

Its very hard to clean the grates with small holes. Why didnt you just make it a tray or trough type with no holes like the gourmet series. I made a big mistake buying this grill. The effort exerted to clean this after cooking 1 pc. Of steak is not worth the trouble to clean it. Should have bought the gourmet kind where you dont have to clean after each use as there is a tray and no holes which catches all the grease and drippings
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I downsized from the 4 ...

I downsized from the 4 burner tru infrared to the 2 burner. Works great! Uses less gas. Plenty of size for my wife and I. We ordered the rotisserie motor too. Warning it needed lots of mods (20 washers) to be able to close the lid all the way while cooking with it. Not a major deal, but not just bolt it on and grill. Assembly was straight forward and lit the first time. Enjoy it. Life too short not too!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I bought this grill because it was just the right size for the two of us. Was not easy to assemble but it was worth the effort. I have cooked on it 3 times now and love it.
Great Compact Grill
This is a Great grill for people who have a small patio area or don't need the larger grill cooking space. Heats quickly and holds temperature well. We have the larger 3 burner version and needed a smaller version for our downsized cooking needs.The product is well built and lives up to the no flare up performance.

I have two of the commercial series grill and wanted to thank customer service for honoring their warranty and getting me the replacement parts so quickly. Now I can enjoy my char broil grills longer. Greatly appreciated!
This is my second time purchasing this grill. I liked the first one so much I consider nothing else on replacing this grille. For the money there is no better grille and the infrared feature is tremendous.
I hate cleaning the infrared grill
Cooks great - can't get it clean- sorry I bought it.
All of the poor reviews have the same issues--too hard to clean, poor temp control, holes get blocked and rusting. If you buy this grill, you will spend more time cleaning it than cooking. And who cleans their grill after each use with soap, water and a nylon brush? By the time it cools the holes are clogged. Don't worry about cleaning the drip pan because the grease clogs the small holes and never gets to the pan. If it was a car, it would have been recalled.

I have had this the "Red" for about 3 years now. By far it is the best bbq I have owned. At first it was difficult to figure out the heat and time but now that I am familiar with the bbq I would never buy another kind. I use it for Tri-Tip, steaks, whole chicken, chicken pieces, chicken wing, but the best is pork ribs. I off-set cook a slab for about 3 hours then crank it up to sear (about 5 - 10 minutes) and put an even better crust on them and they are by far the best ribs ever. Patience is the key with the bbq as it is not like a regular propane grill or a charcoal grill. Figure it out and you will swear by it.
It does have good features.
I bought the grill less than two years ago. I have it setting on bricks because the right front wheel has completely rusted out and collapsed. Where the lower left panel connects to the base is no longer connected. The bolts are totally rusted. The door is no longer connected on the lower right side. I have already replaced the pan under the grills. It rusted. The ignition quit working. I ordered a new switch. I do keep it covered. I gave it two stars because I like its size and it does a great job with barbecue.
