Kitchen Scales
This is our second scale, the first one purchased over 10 years ago and two moves. I love that you can choose between grams or ounces. Digital numbers are easy to read. I use it a lot to make equal portions for my freezer portions of food. Some of my recipes come in grams of weight and this makes creating the recipe quite easy. The stainless bowl inverts and becomes a cover while sitting on my counter ready for use. If you have never had a scale, I would strongly encourage you to consider this one.

Improve Your Cooking and Baking
This is a replacement for our first one. The first one lasted 8 years and was used for many different cooking and diet needs. It really improved my baking as by weight made things so much better.

Cuisinart is the Best!

This particular scale is well suited for light/heavy loads of all sorts. Extremely accurate & does not strain batteries. Compact design fits well in kitchen, & the "tare" feature allows even more pinpoint accuracy. No downsides to this fine product. Thank you.

Easy to use digital scale

Best Food Scale Ever!
I bought my Precision Chef scale in 2005 and it finally bit the dust when I replaced the batteries with cheap MIC batteries that leaked (I’ll NEVER do THAT again!) otherwise I would probably still be using it. I was happy to find the exact same scale is still being manufactured and sold by Cuisinart. Just bought my second one and I’m looking forward to many more years of service from this scale

I love that it comes with a bowl that is also a cover when flipped. This is perfect for my diet. I am surprised by how much I can actually eat when I know the weight!

I like the versatility of this scale especially for baking. I can weigh each ingredient individually (tare) using a bowl directly on the scale or using the stainless bowl/cover, which is the best feature!

Unit Displays fractional ounces versus decimal
It seems to be accurate, but its method of displaying fractional ounces is bizarre. Rather that displaying, for example, 4.9 ounces, it displays 4 8/9 ounces. Displaying a decimal fraction of ounces would be much more accurate and useful.

Not real impressed with how it works
Doesn’t change weight as small increments are added or removed
Will shut off quickly if not adding ingredients fast enough.
This is my only experience with a scale so I’m inexperienced. I’ve only used it twice. Maybe I will be more comfortable with it in time.
