I love this vacuum
Comments about Dyson DC39 Multi Floor Canister Vacuum:
This vacuum is easy to move around and it works awesome. I have the Pet groom tool and I use this on my cats and they love it. I do not have hair going everywhere. It is awesome.

The very best machine, ...
The very best machine, for cleaning I still can not believe how much dirt my old machine left. My new machine, the animal. I call him my robot helper.
Use this now more than ever
My husband got me this machine as I could not carry our upright up and down the stairs. This was perfect for our 3 bedrooms. Now we have moved into our forever home(we are military) and I use this on all the wood and tile flooring. It's perfect! It still works quite well on the carpets also. I just have the privilege of owning 2 Dyson's and have options, so I use them.
This vacuum cleans just about every aspect of my home, from floors to cobwebs. Being short, the extendable arm is the best for high spots.
The DC39 is an excellent vacuum! It definitely meets my needs, and the brush head is incredibly easy to maneuver. You can get under almost all furniture with this unit.
Had this machine for 2 years and just love it! Carpets/hard surface ... its been the best ever.....If anything happens to it I will buy another for sure!

Good suction. Good brush action. Had a Dyson upright before and this does work better in some ways. However be forewarned that the hose is too dang short so if you want to vacuum a shelf or ceiling corner (only 8 foot ceilings) you will have to pick the canister up in order to reach. The brush on the end of the crevice tool is convenient but ultimately the brush is worthless because the bristles are so flimsy they can get sucked and bent over into the opening. Also the brush can't be angled so you have to pretty much use it straight on. So, if you are vacuuming a ledge or top of a window trim it's nearly impossible without hoisting the cannister up in order to brush the top. My old Dyson had a brush with articulating joint that could be angled. The canister is not very large and fills up quickly. There is a fine mesh screen inside the canister that clogs easily with fine dust and pet dander. It is difficult to clean. When I called Dyson about how to clean it, I was told to brush it off with a fine brush or blow it out with an air compressor. WHAT?! Why was that fine brush not included with the vacuum? And not every homeowner has or wants to buy an air compressor just to clean their vacuum. And believe me, the screen needs to be cleaned out nearly every time the vacuum is emptied. Dyson super-engineered in some aspects and under-engineered in others.
The vacuum works great with lots of suction the only thing I don't like is that the power button is on the right side so when you need to turn it off or on with your foot you need to go over the entire unit to hit the switch. It puts you in an off balance position. Also I don't like that you have to put more effort in pulling the unit around. Seems like the wheels don't move as freely as I would like it to. I don't want you to get the wrong impression I love this vacuum. It works better than others that I have owned. I just think some things need to be fixed for US users.
The new Dyson Ball Multi Floor vacuum is the best for my needs. I live in a relatively small place, with wood floors and some small rugs. The light weight and easy maneuverability of the machine is just what I need. It is easy to maintain. It cleans better than any vacuum I've had in the past that was not a Dyson. I am thoroughly pleased with this product.
Awesome suction, easy to empty. Like the wand and flexibility of canister. The flat surface head does not work at all on carpet, actually flips up and doesn't roll over carpet. One drawback is constantly changing heads to finish a room. Otherwise good purchase.
