Comments about Eureka Whirlwind Rewind Upright Vacuum:
Cons: This is definately a heavier vaccum then I have ever had before. So I am very greatful that I dont have to carry it up and down the stairs all the time. But honestly, with as well as it works, I wouldn't trade it for another based on weight alone. The only other issue I have with it is the canister. Problem 1 is that its small forcing you to stop more often to empty it. Problem 2 is that the latch sticks really hard, making it difficult to open the hatch to empty the contents. This problem Ive only come across once so far, being the last time I used it, so I am hopeing that now that Ive cleaned it it wont be an issue. Or maybe Ill try to grease it a little!Pros: It does an AMAZING job picking up dog hair and debris. My carpeting in this apartment is beige so it can be hard to tell just by looking at that. However the canister fills up crazy quick, and once ive gone through the apartment completly, I double back and collect very little. I do have a couple of throw rugs that are the true testement to this vacuum! the rugs are black with darker tones of red and green, and they show each and every piece of dog hair! one of these rugs is also in front of my fireplace and often has wood chips and splinters on it. Once I run this vacuum over these rugs, they look brand new!! Im astounded everytime at how well this sucks everything up!! Ive read mixed reviews on the length of the power cord, so I was a little concerned aboout that. Personally, it fits my needs perfectly. When I plug it into a centerally located outlet, I can clean my whole apartment without switching outlets. In the grand schem of things, cord length is the least of my concerns, especially when the suction power is so great. A major perk is the self rewind cord feature!! I absoulty LOVE this!!

Decent Vacuum For The Price
from Yonkers, NY
We recently moved our company offices and the space has wall to wall low pile carpet. When initially using this for the first time it did an excellent job picking up a great deal of plaster dust, staples and small wire pieces from our phone system and computer server installation. We've been using it daily since moving in the past week and the suction is very good and I have not experienced any problems where items did not get picked up on one or two passes. The filter washes up easily and dries overnight. It is a bit louder than expected but then again it is a 12amp and works hard. The cord is 25 feet and could be longer but wasn't a deal breaker for me. My only complaint is the one button release feature to empty the dirt container is difficult to release. It is a medium to heavy machine and seems to be a solid build for the price. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble and the instructions were pretty straight forward. Overall - four stars and satisfied.
Why did I buy this vacuum?
from Queens, NY
I bought this vacuum to clean the low-pile carpet at my church. It kept spitting the debris back out onto the carpet. It took me half an hour to clean a room the size of a large bathroom. Seriously. I had to keep going over the same spots. Eventually, I gave up and used a stiff broom to clean the rest of the sanctuary. I have not turned this vacuum on since. It is too heavy for me to keep doing the same work over and over again.

Seems to be a good sturdy vac, Took about an hour to assemble. Was surprised at how heavy it is compared to other Eurekas I've owned. Other than that...no complaints. Nice design too.
This vacuum sucks... very well!

This works great on the pet hair and it clearly picks up more than any other vacuum we ever owned that cost way more. Gotta love the cord rewind, too. Only complaint I could have is that since it works so well, we have to empty it often! Definitely worth the price.
