Great Brushroll, Bad Wand
from Obernburg, NY, United States
Comments about Eureka AirSpeed® Unlimited Rewind Upright Vacuum:
I bought this vacuum almost a year ago, and have never been able to get the wand suction to work well. I love the brush roll, and the ease of the other features (cleaning parts, emptying dustup, adjusting height). I've taken the machine apart so many times to try to clear debris from the wand, and brush roll, but it still never works well. So I end having to use 2 vacuums; this one for the floors, and my old vacuum for cleaning corners, moldings, windows, etc. It won't even collect the lightest hair or tiniest bit of wood ash. It's very frustrating! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Update to my prior review
from Verndale, MN
I bought this vacuum in Feb and by May it was not working. I contacted customer support via email and they responded within 24 hours. After talking with the rep, and since I live over 100 miles from a service center they decided to replace the vacuum, within 2 working days I received my replacement. Due to mass production there is always a possibility of getting a flawed product, but what really matters is how the company handles the situation. Due to their professionalism I am changing my rating to 5 stars and I would recommend this product to my friends.

Love how the Brushroll Cleans itself!!
from Chicago, IL, United States
This machine has been a wonderful addition to our home. It has helped reduce allergies in our home due to the act that it is a completely sealed system. The brushroll also cleans itself with the push of a button! We are very pleased with this machine. Highly Recommended!
Absolutely LOVE IT!!!

Purchased to replace a high end Kenmore that was about 8 years old. Needed to reduce allergens, mainly pet dander and fur. I vacuumed with the Kenmore (it had just been reconditioned one week prior) immediately before trying this for the first time and I was shocked at how much more came up. The rugs looked more vibrant than it had in years, even in rooms where the carpet was only 1-2years old. Very, very impressed. I particularly like the built in wand/hose set up. Its great not needing to hunch over to get along the walls or under cabinets. It also is great for getting curtain tops or anything else high up.
No fuss vac!

I have had this model for over a year and have no issues with its use. Works the same every time.

Almost everytime I try and use the vacuum something isn't working properly. One of the main reasons I chose this vacuum over other models was the Brushroll, which doesn't even work.

About Me Frequent User
The worst feature for me is the POOR SUCTION. I would vacuum one section of carpet over & over, adjusting the various floor settings and it hardly picked up anything. I agree with my fellow shopper in Brooklyn. The attachments are a nightmare and were poorly designed. They are constantly falling off as you are vacuuming. The vacuum does have a few pros but the cons out weighs the purpose of the product. The vacuum is fairly new but I am forced to purchase another one.

What a pain to use and not a smooth ride
from Brooklyn, NY
This vacuum was a replacement sent by Eureka for another vacuum which gave me static shocks when vacuuming. This vaccum was an easy set up, even through a man did it for me. Now all the negs: takes to long to actually get going, hose is housed on the left side, I am a rightie, so you have to bend to the left side & pull the hose out, than go to the right and attach the extra hose, the extra hose has to be attached constantly throughout the vacuuming process, because if you put the set into the left side it will not hold it all together. The 5 setting height adjustments don't work for my medium height carpets, unless on high carpet the vacuum won't move, and on high it does not pick up the dust, the other settings are useless. Plus the vacuum jerks, not a smooth ride. Now using the tools are a hassle, you have to completely stop vacuuming or keep the vacuum running while you adjust the setting to tools, so vacuuming and getting into corners is a process. I never can tell when the brush roll is on or off, so again extra time and electricity is running. This vacuum might be more for a man than a woman. I just want to keep it going and get done, not stop and go, twist, bend, get dizzy, plus the pieces keep falling off, so wear safety shoes otherwise might hit or break your toe.

This vacuum started off really good. It did, and still does, picks up the dirt great. But the handle that fits into the wand, when pulled back during vacuuming, pops out, nearly giving me whip lash. It is intermediate so it doesn't always do it, but when it does it hurts. The attachments keep falling off the side storage area, constantly having to pick them up. The piece that you wind the cord up with on the bottom keeps breaking off, having to constantly fix it. I will find a abetter product for the same amount of money. I bought this based on the Electrolux name, but happy to say, I won't buy any of their products again.
