Comments about Friedrich 12,000 BTU Window/Wall Slide-Out Air Conditioner:

I bought this in 2013. When I turned on the next year the unit would not power up. Dead. I had service come out and it was as much to fix as buy a brand new unit.

I've had Friedriches for over 10 years but this was junk. I need to buy another that will fit the same opening but this time I buy an extended warranty

Comments about Friedrich 12,000 BTU Window/Wall Slide-Out Air Conditioner:

            BTU size too large:
A conditioner that has a bigger BTU rating than the room size needs will cycle off too quickly. The unit will not remove the humidity from the air properly.

            Air Conditioner size too small:
A conditioner that has a smaller BTU rating than the room requires will run continuously. The unit will not cool the room adequately.

Comments about Friedrich 12,000 BTU Window/Wall Slide-Out Air Conditioner:

We had the unit installed through the wall only to find out it doesn't work... at all! The compressor will kick on for 2-3 seconds when the temp is set all the way down to 60 degrees but them promptly shuts off. Scoured the user guide and nothing seemed to help. Installed on a Sunday so had to wait until Monday to talk to customer service. Found a service provider who will be coming out tomorrow (it is currently 90 degrees outside). Hopefully they can get it to work. Very disappointed.
