Comments about Frigidaire Gallery 1.5 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Microwave - Smudge-Proof Stainless Steel:
I bought this product less than two years ago. Now it won't heat. Everything else is working, just not the heat. It worked one minute and then it didn't. No idea why it happened. There is no easy way to fix this with out calling a service person.

We bought the microwave 2 months ago and it has worked well.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Great replacement microwave
We bought this to replace a broken microwave. Didn't realize that convection is an option on microwaves. Great feature! It works great and easy to use. Love the look & size of the microwave. The only thing we don't like is the sound after the microwave is finished It never stops and it's loud. It reminds us forever that it's done. We turned the sound off. Overall, love it!
Wonderful features and easy to use!~

I'm very pleased with this microwave. I've yet to use the convection feature, but the manual explains who to use it. It has all the features I want and need for a microwave including the 30 second cook feature and all the various food settings. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to see inside the glass as one review said it was difficult. I didn't find this to be so. I did feel the oven was a little pricey, but that's probably because of the added convection feature.

We bought this microwave few month ago with the whole Frigidaire gallery appliance package. The seller point was the Smudge proof stainless steel and also because the house we sold had Frigidaire professional series appliances that we enjoyed using with out any problems for 11 years. However installing and using all of the appliances we were sure disappointed on the quality of the appliances, seems that manufactures make poorer quality appliances not like they used to. This microwave is stainless steel inside and is harder to keep clean than white coated interior microwaves. I used the convection option to cook chicken nuggets for my kids and it's definitely not the same as cooking in a regular or toaster oven, not too impressed with that feature. Also the beeping sound after its done cooking is so loud and annoying and drove us nuts. So my husband finally figured a way to turn it off. For those with the same issue, press User pref, than 4, than *, this will turn off the buzzer and no longer beep after it's done cooking. It's an ok microwave but I don't think its worth the extra money for the convection option if you are used to using a regular oven to bake. Oh and the smudge proof feature is not completely smudge resistant, you still get smudges on it and still have to polish it, maybe not as much as some other stainless steel brands on the market.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Very versatile -- truly another oven!

I got this appliance in the fall when I had to redo the kitchen because of a refrigerator hose leak which ruined the floors and cabinets. I changed over to stainless because there was a new line of smudge free appliances: Frigidaire's Gallery series. I had always wanted a convection microwave for when I wanted an extra oven, so this time I got one, which is much more than an "extra" and has the versatility and features to be the go-to over much of the time. I still have many more features to try, but I love it!

Great Microwave-Broken Bulb
The microwave is gorgeous and works great so far. However, I only had the appliance for a week and the bulb blew out underneath it and I had to call for a replacement. I dont feel that should happen with a brand new product that wasn't even used yet.

We bought this a month to replace a broken microwave. I have always wanted a convection oven. It works great and easy to use. Best part of it is that we don't need a toaster oven on the counter top now, since the convection oven is built into the microwave. The only thing we don't like is the sound after the microwave is finished never stops. It reminds us forever that it's done. We turned the sound off. Besides that it's excellent.
