I purchased this unit a little over 1 year ago. it over heats easily when using the stove making the fan go on. the fan usually stays on for over 1 hour unless you unplug it. Also try to figure out how to turn off the sound that indicates when something is finished heating because it goes on and on unless you shut it off...very annoying. Finally, I now need to call a repairman, at a cost of $80 to take the unit to be repaired because the fain turns on when you close the door and the unit does not work. $80 to just take it who know how much it will actually cost to repair it. I do not recommend this microwave.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

this is a very bad unit
the door brakes on this microwave , already happened twice in my case and , even with extended warranty, they wouldn`t fix it they say it was cosmetic. a lot of aggravation , finally they put a new door now it broke again and i don`t use that much.

Out of the blue, it locked up and starting running the fan. Nothing could fix it but unplugging the unit. I called pc richards service department and they sent repairman. He said it needed a new computer part that would have to be ordered. It's been a week now and no part yet and no use of microwave. Check my review of our gallery Frigidaire. Needed Repair After Only 6 Months of Ownership

After owning this for only six months, it suddenly decided to run on Fan Mode, without the ability to shut it off. The only thing I could do was unplug it. I scheduled a repair visit with P.C. Richards, and the man said it needed a new part, which will take at least a week to come in. Good grief. This is the second Frigidaire Gallery appliance that has failed on us. See my review of their refrigerator.
