Comments about Frigidaire Gallery 30" Slide-In Electric Range - Black:
Bought the FGES3065KBF model in August 2012 for a second home. We dont use this range often but when we do, we have lots trouble controlling the cooktop. Its either on full heat or just barely warm. I find things either burning or not cooking at all. Very frustrated and plan to replace soon.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Features and great looking

I purchased this 3 months ago, however I wanted to have a granite counter top put on the island and finish other features prior to having it installed. I have baked twice and boiled water twice. All successful. Looking forward to really enjoying using my new range.
Beautiful stove but I have had trouble with it. On delivery the glass door shattered when the delivery men gently moved over a bump. After using it only a few times, a beeping error code appeared and could only be stopped by turning off the breaker. The repairs were made, but I'm worried about the longevity of this appliance.

This range is replacing a down draft range and I do miss the down draft feature. We also purchased a Frigidaire microwave that is to take care of cooking odors and steam etc. The over range microwave is not nearly as effective as the down draft. I do like the stove top, the controls are easy to use but I did have a bit of a problem doing delay start baking. I have not used the oven very much and have yet to use the convection feature. The warming drawer will probably never get used, I would rather have had a storage drawer. I was surprised with the fan that turns on whenever the surface burners are on, there is no mention in the instruction booklet to expect that. Not sure I like it. Probably great when cooking in the summertime

We purchased the unit just before Thanksgiving. It handled the turkey and all the side dishes very well. The only hitch was that we didn't use the probe because the turkey and a pop-up indicator. For the first time we can remember the pop-up didn't work. When we finally inserted the oven probe it showed the turkey was done! We purchased a back trim piece from a third party vendor and it really finished it off. We have had no issues with the glass. But we clean it daily; it takes about 3-5 minutes.
A great oven, but having a real bad problem with trying to remove a smell in it. Hard to find any support or serviceman that can figure it out.
Conked out on Christmas Eve
We bought the range in Feb, 2012 and moved in to the house in May. We don't cook a lot so it wasn't that it got a lot of use. On Christmas Eve with a houseful of guests, the oven wouldn't work. We are now waiting for the 3rd service call to hopefully fix the problem. Not a great situation.
