Comments about Frigidaire Gallery FGEC3645KB Cooktop:
The more I use my stove, the better I like it. It cleans up nicely when I use the right products to clean it.

Have had this cooktop for two months. I enjoy having 5 burners. Temp for burners adjusts fairly quickly.

I love everything about my white electric glass cook top! My previous cook top was black with gas burners, it was a job to keep clean ... had to remove burner grills ... clean the wells ... and with black if it was touched there was a smear. The electric burners have great auto-sensitive heating, so simmer will be just that, a nice steady simmer. It is attractive with a clean appearance. Yes, I definitely have recommended it to others. This cooktop replaced one that was here when we bought the house. This new one is so much better, it has 5 burners and my wife is extremely happy with it. She loves to cook and this cooktop is just "what the doctor ordered." We are very pleased with it.

I replaced a coil top of the line stove insert with this AMAZING cooktop! I love it, especially the feature of surface hot with having a 3 year help me in the kitchen he knows to NOT touch the stove if that is lite up.
Great piece of equipment.

Great piece of equipment, I like it better than my stove, also looks very modern. I just love it. Thank you for a great product.
Get the white one! Black is hard to keep spotless.
Controls are inconsistent... all have different number ranges. Should be 0=off thru 10=always On. Black shows every little spot of ANYTHING, drips from the lids of pots (H20) leave spots of the impurities in *steam*!! Razor and non-abrasive scour-pad are necessity. The elements are very efficient though, once you get each one figured out.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
It is a mess to clean. Too much trouble for the simplest uses. It burns things even on the lowest settings on the special burner. The three back burners are useless. It always has a haze. You have to be extremely careful when you move a pot not to slide it. But it gets scratches anyway. I do not like the stove and wish I could go back to my coils. I tried to do that at my own expense, but the cutout was too large for any other 36" cook top with coils. I am not the only one who thinks this way. In fact, when I built my house 38 years ago, I put a glass ceramic cook top in. Within weeks, I had it taken out. It was too difficult to cook on (and I am a good cook). I would have to replace all my countertops to go back to my coils. I was hoping that the ceramics had improved over the years, but I was very wrong. I am very disappointed and would definitely not recommend it to anyone, particularly a friend.
