About Me Value Oriented
Comments about Frigidaire 18,500 BTU Window/Wall Slide-Out Air Conditioner:
This unit cools my two open rooms, living room & kitchen. A combined size of 22 x 28. Set at 68 degrees and just right, Sometimes I have to turn it up to 70 degrees. JUST RIGHT

water is designed to pool and splash
Jay the water is supposed to pool and splash via the fan. This splashes water on the condenser coils and helps cool the refrigerant down. All the high efficiency ACs do this now.

Weak; doesn't cool as expected
from New York
About Me Quality Oriented
Purchased this unit to cool off about 600 sq ft of space. Was told by PC Richard and Son sales rep that this would do the job. It doesn't. Have to have the unit running continously in order to feel slightly confortable, when it should be cold. As soon as it shuts off on power saver mode, the sweat drips off of me. This unit is weak and does not appear to cool like an 18,500 btu air conditioner should cool. Water condensation also does not drain out from the rear of the unit. It just accumulates inside the air conditioner and rattles around with the fan hitting it. Took the extended warranty but repair tech said this was normal for this model. Totally turned off by the Frigidiare brand and PC Richard for selling me this inadequate unit. Had it professionally installed in the wall so I'm stuck!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
