No complaints on this oven. Have always wanted the double set-up in our kitchen. Works great. Very clean look.
The oven works; however, both windows have drips on the inside between the two glass sheets.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
We bought this oven a few months ago and have been waiting for our kitchen remodel to be done so we could have it installed. We finally have it in and it is great! the controls are easy to use, it hold temperature perfectly and it looks fabulous!
I really like this oven. First off the fact that it is a double oven makes it great alone. Pros: 1) keep warm function 2) fairly quiet 3) fan runs to circulate the air while cooking so it acts like a convection oven 4) cooks evenly Cons: 1) there is only one timer. Each oven has a bake timer, however, that turns the oven off once the time is up. There is a timer that allows you to time without turning the oven off when the time is up, but both ovens share. They should have created a separate one for each oven. 2) Not finger print resistant. Overall I am very happy with the design and quality of Frigidaire double oven, there are just a couple of items I would recommend they add to newer models.
Love this double oven. The top has convection and works wonderfully!
We have owned 3 different homes with double ovens. None can compare to this double oven. Operates quietly, heats quickly, cools down quietly and the the timer reminder works like a charm.
The oven looks fabulous and is easy to use. I have never had a convection before for it is very easy to convert. With both ovens working I can complete a double batch of cookies start to finish in under an hour.
wide temperature swings
I was profoundly disappointed in my new oven, but was told that ALL ovens do this now. Honestly, a plus and minus 50-75 degrees temperature swing??? Eventually the repair service installed a different control board that cut it back a bit, but still too much. Today's technology is capable of maintaining temps within a couple degrees of set point. There's no excuse for this. I was told it was due to government regulations for electricity ratings. It actually uses the same amount or more electricity, but meets the law by being turned off for periods of time, and then heating very high and fast for short periods.
We replaced a high end Maytag wall oven with this model of Frigidaire after the Maytag Microwave in the wall unit caught on fire. This model was a perfect fit, literally. The size of the unit fit perfectly into our cabinets, something almost no other brand could do. The unit was a breeze to install, and the oven got to 450 very quickly. The great thing was it stayed at 450 and completed baking items at the low end of the "time to cook" range on the food instructions. Better yet, the cooling fan that keeps the controls from overheating is QUIET. We bought ours at a discounter, so a double wall oven that looks and works great, plus all the features (timed cooking, both self cleaning ovens) for $1300 was way below our budget. Thanks Frigidaire for making a great oven and using labor on this continent.
