Melts foil, but cooks fast.
from Rio Rancho, NM
Comments about Frigidaire 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - Stainless Steel:
I did not notice the "Do Not Use Foil" sign on the door of my oven. I covered the bottom of the oven with foil to catch any drips from above as I used to do with my non-convection oven. Needless to say, the foil melted into the metal at the bottom of the oven. Totally my fault. A feature about my new convection oven I do not like is the hot air it blows into the kitchen with food smells. I do like its ability to cook in faster than non-convection ovens.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

First: It does a great job of cooking. Some great features. That being said, I do have three issues. They may be design problems, they may be faulty part(s). Frigidaire: Please feel free to contact me if you nave any "fix" for any of these three problems.

first one delivered had "issues" and you graciously (and wisely?) replaced it. Because of the problems I had, I am not fully convinced of the reliability of the new one which was delivered in June. So far, so good. But as it is summer and I don't use the oven much in the hotter months, I haven't used it enough to trust it yet. I am hopeful.

I bought this when updating my kitchen and all the appliances. I was worried about the convention piece but I LOVE this oven. Great features. Speak design. Modern. Cooks evenly and timely!

Works great in this cook's kitchen

We bought a house that had been upgraded with matching Frigidaire appliances in the kitchen. We have been there a year now and use the oven at least several times each week - a little less in the summer months. Works great. Does all the things an oven needs to do and is very reliable. We have not had any problems. The oven preheats at a normal rate (not quickly, not slowly). The oven has its own timer, but I find it a little cumbersome to use so I keep time with the microwave instead. The cancel button, which turns off the oven, does not also turn off the oven light - that's my only suggestion for improvement.
not sure yet...
It's summer so I haven't used oven a lot. But so far not overly thrilled. I will miss the delay-bake feature. Can't believe Professional line does not have it (because lower line does!). Somehow I have to figure out how to make timer louder. Can hardly hear it and it doesn't keep going off. I've burned garlic bread twice.

We bought this oven because my wife wanted to match the handles of our other Frigidaire Pro appliances. We have been very disappointed. Here are the Pros & Cons we have seen thus far: Pros: - Pretty even heating but takes some getting use to. Currently we are still accidentally overbaking most items - The no fingerprint finish on the stainless steel works very well Cons: - As someone else mentioned the convection fans are very noisy. Would expect more quite from a "professional" model - Also as someone else mentioned the timer is difficult to set, the touch interface on the glass is very inconsistent - When the timer goes off it is almost ridiculously quite. Seriously Frigidaire, who thought this was acceptable? If you are in another room or even if there is reasonable background noise in the same room you may not hear the timer go off making it pretty useless - Oven preheats slowly, slower than the 30 year old oven it replaced Wish we could redo and get something else. Cannot recommend this oven that despite being labeled "professional" has so many shortcomings.
Great looking and does what we expected. The only thing we miss is a delayed start feature.
