The amazing stack
Comments about Frigidaire Piggyback Gas Washer/Dryer Combo - White:
I like the stack, it frees up some space. The knobs are a little cheesy feeling. It has already broke once. I'm thinking I might need an extended warranty.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

not worth the money
i am very disappointed in this product. the water level does not accommodate a large load and I was told it should only be used up to the fourth hole. this is a waste of water and electricity

Have had this laundry center for a couple of months. Had the last similar model for 9 years. Some new upgrades. Love how quiet the washer is. Sounds like you're on a lake shore with water gently lapping. Has a large washer tub due to the lack of spindle however I find the pant legs and shirt sleeves get very tangled up with this new design. Wish I had more control over the water levels used. This new washer is supposed to automatically set that. The wash cycles seem to take much long than the previous model. Also it would be nice to have just an extra spin cycle option if needed. You can't choose to just to re-spin out extra water if needed or if you have a wet item and don't need to wash or rinse it. Can't do this with the automatic cycles. Not as satisfied with the dryer. It is supposed to have a sensor to tell when things are dry, however even with average sized loads, it never seems to dry them completely when I chose the recommended cycles. I end up having to set it to heavy duty and high temp for many things. If items are heat sensitive I use the the lower temp settings and have to frequently keep checking and restarting until those items are dry.

Just what I needed
I have limited space and this unit fits. My last one performed for 10 years and this is its replacement. Manuals are cheap and require a magnifying glass to read. Not satisfactory.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The washer capacity is like a regular stand alone washer. Holds what my old washer held so quite happy with it. Like the fact that the washer and dryer are one unit as I needed a compact set to fit into a small area. As I am by myself now this is an ideal set up.
Do not like that I cannot control the water level -- I have to wash my clothes twice because they do not seem clean to me -- not enough water -- barely wet when I open the lid during the wash cycle- I also do not like that I cannot tell where the the actual cycle is ?? wash /spin ?? Do not like the machine at all -- sorry I brought this model. Maureen Boyce
So far, it's working well except that it's starting to get noisy after only over a month of use.
I didn't have choice
My old laundry station was broken. Given the space limitation, I had to change for a similar one. I like the design and new features. However, like other reviews you can find online, the dryer generally won't dry the cloth enough like my old one. So far it only works on my shirts. If you have something like fleece, or even cotton socks, the automatic setting will stop too early. So far I have to use the 60-min settings for all my drying.

Works great now.
When we got it, it definitely had a problem. The wash cycle would get into a rinse, spin, rinse, spin that would go on for hours if you didn't stop it. Repairman tried to just reset the control board, but that did not work. Control replaced and now works fine.
I love my stackable washer/dryer from Frigidaire. It fits full size loads of laundry and takes up less than half the space of regular size sets. Best of all it works great and there's not as much bending over to pull clothes out of the dryer!
