Water dispenser sticks after 2 years

After 2 years, the water dispenser is sticking and have to manually pull it out every time I want to get water.

We bought this a year ago and we are on having another repair done. Same thing as we did after a few months. Starts to get very loud and freezes anything in the back of the fridge. We have lost a lot of food because of the freezing issue. The ice maker does not hold a large amount of ice and seems to jam up and get stuck a lot.
Quieter than anticipated

I spent countless hours researching a counter depth fridge and have been very pleased with this purchase to far. A lot of reviews mentioned it being noisy but I think it's extremely quiet. Love the auto fill feature, lighting is good inside and performs well.

We needed a counter depth fridge and I loved this GE refrigerator the moment I saw it. It's beautiful and very functional in every way. I have only one complaint and that is when using the ice maker water drips and runs down leaving water spots on the stainless Steel.

We bought this refrigerator from a small appliance dealer close to our home. It was one of only a few cabinet depth models in the store and we thought it was the best we could afford. We love the features like the deli drawer with precise temperature control, the interior LED lighting plus overall roominess despite being not as deep as a standard model. The interior is well designed and flexible. The drawback of our particular unit was within 2 months the control board for the deli drawer failed due to excessive corrosion near one end of the board. On the plus side the GE warranty service technician responded quickly and replaced the board. All was well for another month or so when, upon returning from a short vacation, the entire main cabinet and freezer failed! Thankfully it was running when we first got home on a Sunday evening but after an hour or so, no lights, no fans and no refrigeration in either compartment. I was able to disconnect the power at the breaker and get it restarted but it would only run a few minutes and then shut down. After a couple try's we moved the frozen food from the freezer section, reset it and went to bed. In the morning it was 40F in the freezer compartment and the refrigerator was warming. I went back to the retailer at 8AM and they arranged a service call from GE later in the week. While there, their service tech suggested I reset it again but leave it off for 1/2 -1 hour. I did and the result was the unit stayed running until the GE Service Tech arrived several days latter. This tech replaced the main control (computer) board and two fans, one of which he was sure was defective. It's been about a month now and all is well. We are crossing our fingers these occurrences were a random fluke that will not happen again. We are happy we bought the extended warranty form GE, something I rarely do. GE service was good, the technician's very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. But, if I had not been able to restart the machine myself I would have been quite upset since the second service for the completely failed machine was several days out.
What a disappointmet

Bought this to put in my new house and have found it to be one of the worst investments ever. Going on barely 6 months and have had it serviced 3 times already (parts needed replacing)... it is LOUD, makes clunky noises, and in my case... just STOPS working
stops cooling, fans get really loud

I have had this refrigerator just over 1 year. It was great for about 6 months then it started getting really loud. I called and the tech did a software upgrade. This worked for a couple of months and then the noise came back again. Two weeks ago I noticed the refrigerator was not cooling called support but before they came out the refrigerator started working again. Today it stopped cooling again. Not happy with this refrigerator, I am happy that I took out an extra 3 years of protection. Also when you go get ice it goes all over the place unless you hold the glass all the way to the top and ice still spills but not as much

Like the water dispenser but does not make enough ice-takes too long-the ice keeper is a great idea but the ice eventually sticks together. The freezer drawer is very handy. Finish stays very clean and spot free!

We just moved in. While small, this refrigerator is larger inside than I had anticipated. The ice dispenser shoots ice all around though when filling a glass, both crushed and cubes. We have had to fill a larger container then transfer to our glasses. Not convenientâ€¦â€¦ I, too, am finding that the water drips occasionally and is leaving a water ring that will not come off of the plate underneath. The unit is only a few days old and already has a stain. That is a bummer.
