GE - AJCQ12DCF
from Norhtwest Pennsylvania
Comments about GE 12,000 BTU Wall Sleeve Air Conditioner:
We bought this unit as a replacement for an earlier model of this "through-the-wall" GE air conditioner that I had bought and put into service in 1992. The previous unit worked well for some 24 years when it began to suffer from age. It was important that the GE - AJCQ12DCF fit precisely into the sleeve vacated by the old air conditioner. To our delight, it fits exactly. This new unit seems more powerful than the original and is quieter. Improvements include a digital readout that allows precise temperature selection and remote control. To date, we have been quite satisfied with the GE - AJCQ12DCF .

This model is very good. I lived in a 450sqft studio and it cool my whole apartment. Reminder: this uses 220-230v with a different outlet, make sure your power outlet support it otherwise the compressor (cooling) will not start.
GOOD JOB !
GREAT and NICELY PRICED PRODUCT ! REFLECTS ROOM ELOQUENCE !

As this is an air conditioner and it is only May, hard to tell just how good it is. However I am confidant it will be great when it is truly needed!

FIT PERFECTLY INTO MY AIR CONDITIONER SLEEVE. ONLY ONE I COULD FIND THAT FIT. ENERGY EFFICIENT. REMOTE INCLUDED & NEEDED B/C SLEEVE IS NEAR CEILING ON OUTER WALL. VERY QUIET SO YOU CAN WATCH TV AND STILL HEAR IT WITH AC ON.

One of these built ins had a leak in the condensing coil. Another one had a bad motor. The technician had to have a new motor shipped twice - neither one of the new motors worked. We have used GE built ins for an apartment building for a while now but in the past year, the quality has been poor.

Very good programmable features
We replaced the previous AC with this new version and so far are very happy with the way the unit maintains the temperature.
I wish they were programmable

it seems to be much more efficient than the old one (same model 10 yrs. old!) love that you can set on-off times, so it turns of and on when you want..eg: gone for a couple of days! and it has a low, MED, and high setting!!! love it!
