Love my new washer!
from Matawan, NJ
Comments about GE 2.6 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:
I bought this washer after my other apartment-sized washer of 17 years finally died. :( This is a beautiful little washer - it fits perfectly in my laundry closet, its functions are user-friendly, it's quiet, and does a great job. I am very happy with it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I got my washer ten days ago and I'm still trying to get the hang of it! I am so used to a washer filling up to the designated water level; not agitating with no water and gradually filling as it goes. Sometimes it fills to its right capacity, sometimes it doesn't. These new machines with their computers are not as good as the old agitator machines that did what they were built to do. Give me an old-fashioned Agitator Washing Machine ANY DAY. This machine is FRUSTRTING. GE, if it's not broke, Don't Fix It!!! Go back to what you do best!! AGITATORS!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Well Pleased So Far
I bought this one to replace an older model that lasted 13 years. Lots of nice feature improvements, good capacity, lighter weight yet sturdy, quieter more efficient operation. I really like it so far and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing this type of washer.

Just delivered today ....Extremely easy to hook up to sink (I have the portable). I'm very impressed with the machine and have done 3 loads so far, all different cycles to check it out. "Normal" setting takes 54 minutes to complete. I used the "Speed Cycle" which only takes 30 minutes, and hit the "deep fill" button for extra water. Not used to the new machines without an agitator...but the clothes came out clean and the spin cycle really removes all the water....practically drying the clothes. So far, I'm in love.

I got this nice portable washing machine this last week and am very pleased with it so far. It works well and uses very little water. I just wish I would have known before I bought it that it will only hook up to a faucet spout with a male thread of 15/16 or a female thread of 55/64. I can only use it in my bathroom, which has a female 55/64 thread. I would really like to use it in my kitchen but the faucet in there has a 13/16 male thread and, so far, I can't find an adapter anywhere. I'm extremely disappointed that I can't use it in my kitchen. My bathroom is tiny, and it's difficult to move around the washer when I have it hooked up to the bathroom sink.

I did allot of research and this is the best on the market. It's a power house in a small body. It has a large basket to was allot of laundry. Easy to move up to the sink. Came with everything I needed to install it my sink. Very quiet. Worth every penny. I bought it from a local family appliance store at a great price.
