20 + min to pre-heat the oven
from Jacksonville, FL, United States
Comments about GE 30" Free Standing Electric Range - White:
The oven on this appliance requires 18 - 23 minutes to PRE - HEAT to 400 degrees. Do not understand why it would take that amount of time jus to pre-heat and then you can start to bake. Are we doing something wrong or is there a problem with the Stove ?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This Electric Range Has Wonderful Features.
from Bonifay, FL 32425, USA
I have this GE Free-Standing Electric Range and it cooks evenly on every coil and the oven cooks evenly every time! I have to say, that even when I make a mess, it is easily cleaned. I wanted an energy efficient appliance that I could cook small and large meals on and have a bottom drawer for storage. And that is what I have! Every time I cook a 3 layer cake, I can place all 3 pans in the oven and do not have to turn them during the cooking process, because of the even heat distribution that it has. I bake a lot and that is what has made me LOVE this stove! I also like the fact, that the seals on the oven doors are so great, that as long as I do not open the oven doors often, my house does not heat up like other stoves I have had in the past. I also love the fact that every coil burner cooks evenly as well, no hot spots like other brands have done in the past. I will always own a GE range now and in the future. The quality of even their lowest cost ranges are wonderful! The large knobs on the back are easy to read and easy to clean. You can adjust the heat with the knobs on each burner on the same # and get the same heat on each burner, which is rare! Other brands have not performed as well as this GE has for me. I highly recommend this range for anyone on a budget but wants superior quality!

I love the modern look of the range. The oven keeps the heat in and the kitchen cooler. The cook top has great features and boils water quickly. Love this range.

I really like this range. I love the Ceran top. And the burner choice along with the warmer. The oven works well. It has a very nice finish! I can't say anything against it.
This product is good looking for the price

I would really like this product if the 2 small burners worked better, this is not even a year old, and the 2 small burners do not heat evenly and they take a few minutes to get to the correct temp.
Great Free standing range
from Memphis, TN
I purchased this range to replace an older GE range and this one is far superior to the old one. Farily easy for the home owner to install. Instructions easy to follow. Cooks great and has many features of more expensive models.
Great looking & great performance

Well made range, love the way the oven bakes, holds the correct temp.during baking.

The oven on this unit does not heat evenly. Example: pizza: the crust burns on the bottom, but the toppings come out barely warm. The outer edge of the crust can be black, and too hard to bite into, yet if you pick up a slice, it dips down and hangs. It obviously is not getting cooked properly. Brownies, baked in a glass dish burn on the bottom and are gummy on the top. There is also some sort of calibration problem with the temperature dial. The temperature actually achieved is always off by 50degrees to 75degrees, as checked with a separate thermometer. Additionally the one large burner makes a vibrating noise all the time. Although not dangerous (that I know of) it's quite annoying. The product tag says it was made in Mexico.
