Doesn't clean or dry dishes
By Regretting GE Appliances
from Houston, TX, United States
Comments about GE 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless Steel:
After running through the cycle, soap can be seen dribbling down the inside of the door, proving none got distributed across dishes to clean them. Also, every dosh is soaking wet after the cycle is done. Not even close to dry.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Good dishwasher at a good price!

Needed a replacement unit in our second home in a hurry, so went to local GE dealer. Great help, next day installation at a fair price. All good along with performing well.
Detergent door fails to open
By Hidden Oak

We are experiencing the detergent door failing to properly open repeatedly. This causes us to have to rerun the cycle. Sometimes we have to rerun the cycle more than two three times before the detergent door opens and the detergent is consumed. We are using normal cascade dish washing soap that you can purchase at every grocery store in America.
Dishwasher leaks water
from Missouri, United States
Have run this 4 times and it leaks out of the bottom. The first 2 times it leaked horribly. the 4th time the leak is under the door and measures about 1.5 inches long by 3/4inch wide (I put a brown paper sack under this to see if it is still leaking, until we can figure out why a new product leaks)
Love GE appliances

I purchased this dishwasher about 6 months ago and love it. The wash cycle is a bit long, but it certainly cleans my dishes!
works ok, doesn't dry complete, poor build quality
By Masta P

This dishwasher cleans everything spotless (and that's probably the only thing good about it). However, when it comes to drying, it doesn't dry completely. There are still water drops on the dishwasher walls and on some utensils. Also, the door latch is somewhat loose, and the cleaning cycle wouldn't start even if the door is shut. Sometimes mid-cycle the dishwasher would beep and cycle would stop. I would have to go and press the door, or shut it tight with scotch tape for the cycle to start back on.

I'm so glad that I bought this oven. No more under or over cooked meals.

The pump on this dishwasher makes a lot of unusual noise and appears to not empty completely at times. The result is spotty dishes occasionally
