Comments about GE DSKP333ECWW Dryer:
Quiet enough for my apartment, I have been able to dry towels, comforters and clothing in a sufficient amount of time plus this machine doesn't take up much current so my energy bill is fine.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Compact and Durable

Had one for 3 years and bought another one for office. Excellent product if you do not have gas connection.
A Nice Compact Dryer that operates on 110v power
from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States
I initially bought this GE dryer because I wanted to put in a washer dryer in our bathroom without having to go through the trouble of installing 220v, etc. This dryer was just the ticket. It is a "compact" dryer, so it should be paired with a similar "compact" washer. The washer we had has a slightly smaller load capacity so we were all set to go. The unit does have multiple punch outs in the metal housing, allowing you to install it with a right side, left side, back, or bottom exhaust. You will need a 90' elbow for inside the dryer if you want to exhaust anywhere but straight out the back. I wanted the exhaust out the left side which after punching out the pre-partial punched area. This area however, was slightly smaller than 4' so a little grinding/ sanding was needed to get the exhaust tube to fit. Unit Dries well, provided you do not overload the dryer (remember it is a compact dryer) A full load in my compact washer dries in just under an hour. Unit is reasonably quiet for a dryer. I use the auto dry sensor feature and it works well. Lint tray in located in the door and is easily cleaned. The unit comes with wheels if you want to move it around. I will put it on our back patio during the warmest part of July/August (no sense in heating the house) and wasting energy in the process. It was a bit more expensive than I had thought it would/should be, but considering the speed at which it completes the task I can justify the cost.

Unit died after 13 months of light use. Total waste of money.

Not easy to open
from New York, NY, United States
The door is not easy to open and you constantly have to clean out the filter. I would only recommed this if you need a quick fix.
I've had problems with it
from Stamford, CT, United States
Since the beginning I've had problems with it. I had a screw stuck in it which the technician said did not come from the dryer..... now it's making funny noises and black rubber is coming out of it. Someone has to come take a look at it again. I've only had the dryer 4 months
Small, efficient and easily assessable
from Lake Luzerne, NY
I purchased it a few months ago and I really like it. It is true that it is not a large capacity drier. But it serves it's purpose now that that there are only two of us in the household.
SMALL BUT VERY EFFICIENT
from Fullerton, CA, United States
I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT AND SPACE IS OFCOURSE SMALL. PLUS THE HOOK UPS FOR WASHER DRYER IN OUR COMPLEX USES ONLY 110VOLT OUTLETS. SO IT WAS HARD TO FIND APPLIANCES THAT ARE WITHIN THE SPECIFICATIONS. MIND YOU THE SPACE COULD ONLY FIT 26 INCHES WIDTH..TIGHT!! AND WE ARE IN CALIFORNIA, NOT EUROPE. HOLA!! I FOUND THIS APPLIANCE ONLINE AND BETHA BY GOLLY WOW- YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!! MY LIFE IS EASIER NOW. NO MORE TRIPS TO THE LAUNDRYMAT. MY CLOTHES ARE DRY AND CLEAN. THIS DRYER IS QUIET. IT MAY SEEM SMALL BUT CAN DRY A MEDIUM TO LARGE LOAD. THIS IS MY MIRACLE WORKER!! THANKS GE.
Good if only option
We have several hundred in our building, we are going on years of operation. we have a high use of dryers in our units, as we do student housing; we have found that in this use they are a very high maintenance demand. The manual states to clean the Condenser monthly, that is not feasable due to manpower. we would have to hire one person to solely do this. we currently have to clean about eight a day right now just to keep up with the service calls. That said, if this was in a small home/apt with normal use it is a good product, there are others that dont use the condenser that clogs with lint that we have that we have not had the service issues. Would I buy one? if it was my only option, I probably would due to the quality of the equipment. Just be aware that you will have to clean that condenser on a regular basis.
