I am contacting GE today through email, because I know it will take a while to get an answer. BUT! I caution you to research all HE machines and the stink that they develop. I first noticed it about 2 months ago when I was putting on some pajamas. I have finally found a way to "treat" the machine, so I don't know what will happen, but as of now, I have to put everything through a second rinse to just make the odor better. BE AWARE!!!

Bought this washer to replace my old washer. My sister had a GE and recommended it to me. So far, happy with how well it cleans.

Have had the unit for approx. 3 months. I like that I can choose the water level and not have to use the load size sensing feature. I experienced problems with machines that try to determine the amount of water needed. Cycle time is longer than my old machine - about 50 min vs the old 30 min or so. Agitator speed is slower than older machines, gentle on the clothing and they still come out nice and clean as one would expect. The spin cycle is great - making drying time shorter. I don't find it particularly loud, but it is in the basement. Large capacity tub does a large load of flannel sheets nicely. Has dials and not membrane buttons to select cycles. Has the gentle cycle that I wanted. So far I'm satisfied
Very quiet, simple to use, good wash!!!

Excellent washing machine!!! Very, very quiet and so simple to use right out of the box. For those that don't read the shipping papers, don't forget to remove the shipping bar at the front of the machine, bottom right corner. If you turn it on and hear a noise like it's hitting something, then you haven't pulled the shipping rod out. Nobody told us about it, and being excited about getting the washer, hooked it up and turned it on. About tore it up, so yeah, be sure and get that rod out.
