Comments about GE 30.25" Drop-In Electric Range - White on White:
This range was purchased by our landlord to replace an old one that had stopped working properly. We use it a lot for cooking and baking at it serves just fine. It looks pretty good too.

Overall a very nice range.

Very well made, nice controls and finish/ controls should have been in the rear not in front. Would have had 5 stars if they would have supplied the ! 1/2" spacer you need at the rear of the range to finish the installation off!!!!
Easy to use.

We just purchased this stove as a replacement for the same model. The first one lasted 11 years before the ceramic top cracked. We were pleased with the first stove and oven. We did have one burner with problems after 6 years. It only worked on high. We hope for more years out of this one since we now have an empty nest and don't cook as much! Extreme care is needed with the ceramic top. I have learned to move all possible items that could fall on it away from the stove top!
Anchoring system very weak.

There should be an easier and more secure way to lock in oven into cabinet
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Great features, beautiful appearance

I love the feature on the top that shows witch burner is on and hot even after turning off. The oven is huge! Cannot wait for Thanksgiving turkey...
Oven fan makes use difficult
from Springboro, OH, USA
I was surprized to find my new oven has a constantly running fan (and it is NOT a convection oven.) This causes a great deal of difficulty by blowing hot air on the user when trying to remove food from the oven. I get a blast of hot air to the face every time I open the oven. This is a real problem when baking and repeatedly taking in and out pans of cookies. Also difficult when trying to baste or turn meats. I am, however, happy with the cooktop. I like the two-size element and the ease of cleaning the flat surface. Unfortunately, the oven is such a disappointment that I would be cautious of buying another GE without investigating extensively first.
