The first one lasted 20 years. That computes out to, a good guess, over 15,000 meals prepared. Why wouldn't we stay with the same make and model.
Seems like a good product
Don't cook much. the few times I have used it, it worked as advertised.

I bought this stove top a few months ago and just love it. It heats up really fast, even cooking, easy clean up and just over all great.

Markings on the controls and heating surface should be clearer
Broke too soon!

I had the range installed and within no time a bottle of olive oil fell over hitting the edge of the glass and broke the corner off! I wouldn't think it would break so easily!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Update - Upgrade
Got this cooktop for a kitchen remodel, replacing a 40+ year old electric coil cooktop. This is SO MUCH BETTER!!! So easy to clean - the sample of ceramic cooktop cleaner has worked great! We chose the dark color with the speckles - have never had an issue with it looking dirty, as I had heard people say about black appliances. The only "weird" issue is the placement of the knobs - but this could just be me! I don't intuitively reach for the correct knob for the desired burner, so I inevitably end up turning the wrong burner on. The other issue with the knobs - it's hard to tell which end of the knob is the pointing end - the temperature that has been selected. I used a silver Sharpie to put a dot on the "active" side and that has helped. All in all - I love it!
