A Good Basic Dishwasher
By Dish Lady

This machine does a really good job on the Normal wash setting for everyday loads that are not heavily soiled. It did not do a particularly good job on the Light Wash setting; some of the silverware and bowls were still dirty at the end of the cycle. It has plenty of space and is easy to load and unload. It is a LOT quieter than my old dishwasher, although it does produce a mildly annoying, low-volume, high-pitched humming noise throughout the cycle. One thing that makes me smile is that it plays a cheery little tune when it completes the entire cycle and when you open or close the door all the way. :o) I like having the extra silverware basket; note, however, that if you use powdered soap, do not overfill the center section of the basket on the door side. The soap might not make it down to the bottom of the machine. :o( Overall, if you want a basic dishwasher with plenty of room, this is a good buy, especially for the price.
The quiet sound is a great feature.

I bought this dishwasher on Nov. 11, 2016. I'm impressed with the performance of this GE machine. If I would change anything, it would be the dark gray color of the interior. It's difficult to see the spokes and where the dishes line up. Otherwise it's given me self satisfaction to own this new appliance.....

I bought this a few weeks ago. I was nervous because it did not have a rinse "arm" above the top rack, however it does have a spray nozzle. Also some reviews said it would be loud, but it isn't. It cleans dishes and glasses as well as any other machine. And it holds a lot more than I thought it would

I purchased this dishwasher expressly for the location of the utensil basket which is located on the door (when you open it). I find that this design opens up a lot of room for dishes inside.
Soap dispenser doesn't always open.

We bought this 2 months ago. We put the smaller utensil holder closer to the door and lately the soap dispenser doesn't always open. Not sure why yet. Trying different things.

It does a very good job of getting the dishes and silverware clean but it seems to take forever to complete its cycle and even if you leave everything in the dishwasher overnight you still have to hand dry over 30% of dishes and almost all the silverware

For the price that is charged for this model, it is not worth the price. It is so very cheaply made. I have had GE appliances since 1997. The ones made back then were great, sturdy, and lasted for over 12 years. I miss the GE dishwasher that we replaced with this model. I Regret not buying the expensive part to fix our old model.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
