Keyboard died after 18 months
Comments about HP 14" Chromebook Intel Celeron Dual Core Notebook with Chrome OS:
As another reviewer mentioned, 18 months seems to be the life span of this product. After this amount of moderate use the keyboard and track pad have stopped working. I tried opening the unit and cleaning and reseating the connectors but that only helped for about a week; of course the unit is out of warranty. HP makes a cheap product, I do not recommend their Chromebook and will not purchase an HP product again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Drops network constantly
This product has been nothing but trouble. I can't even go on my chromebook for half an hour without it dropping the network at least three times. Every time it drops the wifi I have to restart the chromebook, only for it to stay connected for a couple of minutes. I would accept that I have a machine that just so happens to have something wrong with it, but I am not the only one with this problem.
Gets the job done
Definite upgrade from the 11 inch. Fast.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best Product for the Price
I have used hp chromebooks for years now and find them to be the best on the market. They are fast and reliable.
i recommend this product for people doing schoolwork.. it sucks with the speakers i dont know who would put the speakers on the bottom of the laptop where it gets covered that's stupid but that's the only down fall they don't work good not loud at all.. you cant watch Netflix or videos unless you put your headphones in.
Very lightweight and attractive laptop! Currently a college student and the laptop was very affordable, however, I am now convinced that you get what you pay for. I have not had this laptop for a year yet (specifically 10 months) and the computer randomly shuts off. It has gotten more and more frequent, and seems to happen for no reason at all. Only flaw with the laptop thus far, but simply cannot overlook the LACK in reliability!
