Great little clothes washer!
from San Francisco CA
Comments about Haier 1.0 Cu. Ft. Portable Washer - White:
I am so glad I bought this Haier washer! I can do small loads easily at a moment's notice and they are spun out so well they dry quickly just hung on a line inside my home. For smaller items this washer does a terrific job and it saves me the hassle of using quarters on my apartment building's washer, along with eliminating the need for climbing 120 stairs for each load of wash!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I recommend product

After raising my 3 children in my huge house with heavy duty/large capacity laundry machines, I knew I would NEVER be okay with the laundromat! When I downsized to an apartment (after the nester's left the nest) I was quite disappointed in the landlord not having a washer hook-up inside my apartment. I didn't even know these portable washers existed until a friend of mine told me of his (Haier). I wanted this apartment so decided to take the risk (?) of a small portable washer. Great choice. Pros: Cost-manageable. I have had this washer for 3 years without any mechanical issues, it handles a larger load than I had anticipated, operation is easy and quiet, clothes are quality clean. There are cons, however, after reading these reviews, I realize that they can be rectified! Ooops! Except maybe one. Long socks, sleeves....get "tied up" in the cycle. I just stop the cycle and untie.
Sending With Son to College

So people might think I am crazy, but I am sending this compact washer with my son to college. I don't know how much he will use it, but when he needs to it will come in handy. It might even help him land a couple new friends. Anyways, we like this washer for its compact size, durability, and the easy connecting/disconnecting of the hoses. The easy to read and use push buttons make operating it a snap. I am thinking after my son gets done using it, I plan on storing it in our RV for road trips.
Customer Service is good.

This machine has a quiet wash cycle. The clothes were not as clean as I would have liked them to be. The spin cycle was crazy loud and off balance, every load. I had service techs out several times but the problems never stopped.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I love my washer
from Reedsport, OR
I live in an apartment and the only washers and dryers I can use are the compact (apartment sized) units. The difficult part is finding a washer that will hook up to the kitchen sink and a dryer that is rated 110 volt and doesn't require it to be vented outdoors. I have found one or two other brands but they were out of my price range. Then I remembered that my dehumidifier is a Haier brand and I love it so I specifically looked up Haier and was very happy to see that they have just what I was looking for at a price I could afford. As soon as I can afford it I will purchase their dryer.
Happy with this purchase

I'm glad I bought this small washing machine. I live in a high rise and used to hate battling for the machines in the laundry room, although I still have to use the laundry room for my blankets and larger items, I wash my every day clothes in here and love it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this washer !! It fits right on my bathroom sink and has everything you could need for a washer for 1 or 2 people. I would definitely think about about purchasing more products from them in the future GREAT BUY!!!

I've had my 1.0 CU for about three months..it has done all the reviews and specs said it would do. It came very well insulated packed with two boxes...I hooked up to shower diverter ( had to get extra hose, at minimal cost, to be long enough).... At first water came out of the washer connection but, this was rectified by a neighbor who tightened it.... I wasn't strong enough and he tightened it with his hand.....then I turned the diverter (the thing which connects to shower that turns one way for you to shower and the other for the washer connection....I turn water on and flip it for shower....plug in washer and it was ready....it is quality product....the insides ans out...I've used the high water level mostly because it helps the clothes action to have smoother flow instead of clunking in more shallow water. On regular cycle, it takes about 20 minutes to reach rinse. And time to put in softener...then about twelve minutes later ..done. It spins so well, about four times, and clothes are not dripping when done..they are ready to dry. On quick cycle, it takes about fifteen minutes...I've used a few times and is just as efficient. The clothes are CLEAN. I have used a spot remover on places where spilled hot chocolate and it came out. (I actually carpet cleaner for the spot ), I use everyday and I'm very satisfied .

I live alone and this machine is perfect. A couple of loads a week and everything is done. I did not need a huge machine this is exactly what I needed.

This product is amazing. I bought it because I live in a townhouse with no hook ups and this little machine had surpassed my expectations!
