Comments about Haier 32" Class LED HDTV:
This is my second Haier tv. Unfortunately my first was stolen. My replacement does seem better. I'm sure that if something happens to this one I'll keep with the product. Value and a good looking tv is a winning combination.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

awesome set for the price point

Easy to set up, fabulous picture, and IMHO, a much better deal at the price point than some of the more commonly known manufacturers.
Average at best
from Freehold Township, NJ, USA
My father purchased this TV to replace is aging plasma. The TV looks great, has a thin bezel, and is very light. It mounted much easier than the 50 lb plasma it replaced. The picture is decent enough. The remote control censor is placed on the bottom right and has a tiny LED light that is impossible to see. This is annoying but not a deal breaker. The worst feature is the sound. The "Sound chamber" sounds hollow. It might not be as bad if the tv is on a stand and not mounted. But against the wall the sound echoes and sounds flat. My father purchased a sound bar but this TV has no optical output. Had to return that sound bar for one with coaxial input. Not a deal breaker, but annoying.
Good Warranty Repair
We had this TV for a month and it turned off and would not turn back on. I took it to the local repair facility and 4 hours later it was repaired and back home. It has been several months now and no additional problems. We have been struggling with choosing the correct Aspect Ratios. When we record with Dish it seems to have a mind of its own what resolution it records in and we can not always change the Aspect Ratios to make it comfortable to watch. The bars at the top and bottom are sometimes grey and sometimes black. The grey is very hard to watch so we zoom to try and get rid of them the we miss some of the action.
Great TV for the money - remote is awful, sound is ok
This was a TV for the master bedroom so I didnt want top of the line. This was a great buy for the money - big screen, crisp picture and nice sound for the size of my room. Biggest complaint is the remote is essentially worthless. It only works if you are pointing it EXACTLY at the sensor - range is tiny - too high, low or to the left or right & it doesn't work. This is somewhat minor in the big picture (no pun intended) but is quite inconvenient after owning it for 3 months.
Great picture, Good signal quality
from Luzerne, Big Creek Township, MI 48636, USA
I purchased this tv 2 years ago and not one problem. It picks up better dtv signal than my 50" projection tv. The picture is superb. It has enough HDMI ports. The only issue I have is it has a software glitch in the menu for hiding and showing dtv channels. It causes the menu to crash and the tv to loose a lot of dtv channels. I have to rescan every time. I wish there was an update to fix that issue. They also need an update to store channels when the tv is scanning dtv signal. Sometimes channels come and go when i rescan making them disappear. The sound is the same as most flat screen LED tv's, its really small and tinny. It has an ability to hook up a digital receiver. You can also plug in external pc speakers into the headphone jack or a set of good headphones. The PC connection is amazing. The older VGA input has a lot better quality than the HDMI input on pc. This is a pc problem as the XBOX360, Xbox one, and PS4 looks amazing. I really think this television is going to last due to the fact it is LED backlit. It only uses 42 watts which can be run on a power inverter all night long. That makes this tv set very efficient for camping and solar systems. I recommend this tv set to anyone thats looking for a good low cost quality set to watch tv, movies, pc gaming, etc.

Purchased this product just over a year ago and the pictures has washed out, very white screen and hints of blue. The company logo on boot up is also washed out and barely visible,
