Out of the box, this television looked great. The picture seemed clear and it had good contrast. However, during fast moving scenes, the picture seemed jittery - not enough to return the product on its own, but enough to be noticeable. Then, after plugging in a Wii and Xbox, I noticed that the TV had a significant amount of input lag - the TV responded half a second after the controllers for these systems, making gaming impossible on this television. I have never seen this on any TV, and no setting seemed to solve the problem. Returned and got a Samsung. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this television, it is not worth the hassle.

Exceeded My Expectations

About Me Enthusiast
As a student I was looking for a 40" TV in the $300-350 price range. I tried Westinghouse and Vizio but had issues with both TV sets, so I returned them and picked up the Haier. Once I set this TV up to my Roku and XBox I was immediately shocked by the quality of the picture. It FAR surpassed my expectations. There is not one negative quality to this TV. I would recommend this TV for anyone on a budget.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
