Comments about Haier 6.6 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer - White:
This is a good looking dryer, but that's it. It takes forever to dry, sometimes leaving clothes damp. The fuse constantly burns out. Customer service has no clue and leads you to a local repair man that doesn't answer the phone. I even took out a pseg appliance contract and they said it wasn't worth fixing after the third time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this dryer a little over a year ago. It is the worse dryer I have ever had. Clothes take hours to dry. A load shouldn't take almost six hours. Most of the time it is between 3-4 hours. PC Richards should refund every buyer on this item. I called service awhile ago and when they came the guy said that that's how it is. No fixing needed. Now I need to get a new dryer. Don't buy this dryer until the company makes one that works

Dryer worked well for about two months then the drum would not turn even though the setting lights came on. Called for service and was told that the belt came off. I've owned quite a few dryers and serviced them myself and only had trouble with the belt after many years of use. Not two months. Repair man replaced the belt as a precaution and said he found nothing wrong with the original belt. Suggested that the dryer was not level but I'm not sure that would make the belt slip off. Kind of expecting this to happen again in the near future. Well see. May have just been a fluke problem.
worst dryer i ever had
This is the perfect dryer for someone who has all day to dry two loads of wash! don't expect to pull out dry clothes for around three hours
Do not buy

This dryer has never fully dried a complete load of laundry. Every load I have ever washed since I have it has had to be cycled twice. I have put in a load of towels for 4 hours and still taken them out damp. I have had it serviced and there is nothing wrong with the dryer. It is the product. Find another dryer, stay away from this one!
Seems like a great value!

As a household of six with four active kids, we are constantly doing laundry. I have always been a Kenmore customer, but our 15+ year old Kenmore 80 series died on laundry day with 10+ loads waiting. I had to replace it quickly...so I stopped at PC Richard & Son on my way home from work to window shop. I immediately saw the Haier gas dryer as it was on sale and the price was right. I decided to take a chance...and the dryer has performed wonderfully. I am not a 'bells an whistles' kind of guy. It has all the functions necessary to dry your clothes, and it works GREAT. It's quiet, the lint filter is right up front, and it looks good too. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
