Lightweight but acts like big vacuum
from Windermere, FL, United States
Comments about Hoover Corded Cyclonic Stick Vacuum:
I had one like this one before and loved it. A neighbor borrowed and destroyed it so I'm replacing it. This little vacuum does the work of a heavyweight but is so easy to use. I love the dual use, bare floor and carpet. It is so easy to clean out.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a nice vacuum! It does pick up well and works great! This is not a super heavy vacuum but this is great for my apartment!
Best corded stick vacuum!

I love this vacuum! I use it on our hardwood floors. It is much more powerful than a cordless. There is nothing like it on the market.
Lightweight but great power!

I love this stick vacuum! Only one suggestion. The neck should be longer for swivel and access to get further under sofas etc.
Great - when it works.
from Mansfield, TX, United States
I have owned three of these vacuums in the last three years. Every single one of them only lasted a year or less before it broke. The first one was cordless and after six months the brush roller stopped working. Took it back and got a new one. The batteries stopped holding a charge after about 6-8 months. So I bought a corded one. Worked great for the first year, then the brush roller stopped working. Again! My husband was able to fix it, but it lasted only a couple of weeks before it stopped again. The problem? A design flaw that allows the wire to be in contact with the pivoting mechanism on the head and is eventually cut by the motion of the head. After fixing wire a second time, the head came off while vacuuming. Found that the part connecting the head to the handle had worn out so there was nothing holding it together anymore. Poor design. While I love this vacuum when it works, I will not be purchasing another one. I think three in three years is ridiculous. They should be made with better materials/design so that they last longer.

I wish that Hoover would bring back the older "Fling" stick vacuum - it had more flexibility with a much better/easier ability to get under furniture, around legs, and ease of use. The new cyclonic has a better motor but I think I would give up some of the motor for more flexibility.
I love it!

This is the third Hoover stick vacuum I've purchased. The other two were battery operated and although I don't like have to plug and unplug for each room, I do like the fact that I can do the whole house at one time without having to charge the batteries. I seems a bit heavier than the other two battery operated ones but that might be a good thing in that it feels more substantial and not too heavy that I can't handle it. All in all I think I love it!
Improvement over older model.

My wife has used a Hoover stick vacuum for many years and she says that this latest model is the best innovation yet. She has instantly set the old model aside and only uses the new cyclonic model.
Light weight and picks up dirt and dog hair very well!
from Oak Harbor, OH, United States
This little sweeper is lightweight and picks up dog hair very well! It is small enough to use when a quick job needs to be done! I love the convenience of a small sweeper that gets the job done. Only thing I would change is have the switch (on/off/carpet) located up the handle in a more convenient location.
