Not happy with product or return process

Comments about Hoover Enhanced Clean Disinfecting Steam Mop:
I bought Twin Tank Steam Mop on the recommendation of a Hoover Online Rep to clean my laminate wood floors. I used it on my floors and was shocked after they dried to see a un uneven film all over the floors. I took a paper towel to wipe the floor and a dark grime came up. Clearly the steam mop did not properly clean my floors or remove the dirt. It also took forever for the floors to dry even with a fan on them. When I called to return the product the rep was surly and said I would have to pay the return shipping which is ridiculous for a product that did not work as advertised. I am very unhappy with Hoover.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I had a Shark for several years. Bought this on a special at Home Depot about a year ago. Far better than the Shark. I have only used the steam. Does a very good job.Better quality than Shark.

So glad I moved up to a REAL steam mop.

I ordered this steam mop just a little while after my Shark refused to heat at all. When I unboxed it, I was immediately pleased by the fact that is felt so much less toylike than my old steam mop. It had a decent heft to it, but not so much that I would get all worn out by using it. After reading the instructions, I filled the water tank and fired it up. I chose not to use the cleaning solution, as I've heard that in some cases, floors can become filmy when it is used. I also prefer absolutely no scent at all on my floors. The ready light came on very quickly, but for some reason pressing the trigger gave no steam. After playing with the trigger for a little while, it finally did start up and gave out a good volume of nice hot steam. I think the delay was due to the little water filter inside being new and dry and taking just a moment to get water to the pump and heater. The week before I used this machine, I had hand-scrubbed a large section of linoleum under our breakfast table and then used my silly Shark mop afterward. I had to do it like that since the Shark never would truly clean the floor on its own. See what a joke it was? For the Hoover, I re-cleaned where I had previously worked, and that was fine. Then I posed the real challenge of cleaning the kitchen floor, which hadn't been done in an embarrassingly long time. With constant use. And three kids. This Hoover did it in a single pass. Never would my old mop have been able to do that. Not even close. All it took was a quick sweep and then steam it with the Hoover. I've never been more impressed with a steam mop before. Some people talk about the trigger being difficult and tiring to press. Nope. I had no problems at all. My advice is not to just use your index finger on the trigger. Instead, choke up a little on the handle and use your index and middle finger on the trigger at the same time. Easy-peasy. No hand cramps, no problem. I'd recommend this mop to my friends and shout about it from my front door at passersby in my neighborhood, but I'm sure I'd get some strange looks. One final note... Many, many reveiws here are from people who got a free TwinTank from Hoover. I didn't get a free one. Bought this baby myself and put it to use literally as soon as I got it out of the box it was delivered in. Worth every penny. I was done with the whole bottom floor of my house in about 30 minutes. All I can say is wow. I'm VERY tough to please about cleaning products, and I'm over the moon with this one. Looking forward to many years of great looking floors thanks to Hoover! So I bought it, I paid for it, and you KNOW my opinions are my own. Don't even look at other steam mops. You'll be wasting your time and money. Just get the Hoover and be amazed at what a great job it does.
Second mop, same break

I purchased the twin tank steam mop in March of 2013. I was very pleased with the ease and the performance. So much so, that when the solution tank fell off and I could not repair, I purchased a replacement on March 31, 2014. Silly me. Today the solution tank fell off. This time I discovered the broken piece of plastic under the counter. I have now spent over $200 on this product and this one lasted 4 months. Totally unacceptable.
Great floor cleaner

Cleaned my kitchen floor, which is textured, nicely . Cleaned my wood floors perfectly. On the wood floors, I went over the floor with a dry mop. On the linoleum I dried it with a fan. My floors have never been cleaner. Thank you Hoover, you have done it once again. I once owned a Hoover vacuum and it lasted for the longest time and did such a good job. Pam.
I have been using this product for the past 6 months on my high gloss porcelain tiles. I am constantly left with water on the floor that when dry leave streaks. I have tried a number of different ways to try and combat this problem but have had no success. I am very disappointed with this product.

I've had this steam mop for about 1 1/2 years. My house is mostly tile so and I have two boys and two dogs that track in everything. This mop would work great cleaning up everything. It worked great, easy to use, long cord and swiveled easily to use in the bathrooms. The only I didn't like was having to hold the trigger down, but that is better then having to pump it like I had to with my Shark. The last few times that I have used it I could tell that it was going out. This past weekend when I went to use it, it took a while to produce steam and quit working halfway through cleaning. We have checked the water lines but it doesn't appear to be clogged. The machine turns on fine and the light indicating will come on quickly. You can hear what sounds like steam, but nothing comes out. I rated it at 4 stars because I loved it when it worked.

Easy to use. Does a fabulous job. Better then other steam mops I have used.
