Comments about Hoover Quiet Performance Bagged Canister Vacuum:
Canister only spins for 5 or so minutes and then shuts off. Can't even clean one area rug. Unit has operated this way since first purchased. I've followed the manual's steps of cleaning filters, etc. Very shocked to see such poor quality with the Hoover name on it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is a quiet vacuum that has great suction. It's nice to not have to buy bags.

Not as good as my Hoover 3765. It is quiet and easy to empty bagless canister.

Bought a Wind Tunnel - the vacuum worked well when it wasn't broken. Eventually it couldn't be repaired. I still had a warranty, however Hoover decided to replace it with the Zen Whisper. I have had this vacuum for less than a year and the handle broke, the wheel fell off, the clip on the power nozzle broke off. The bristles are constantly tangled in hair and string. I will not buy a Hoover again.
Died on me

We have central vac and that is what we primarily use in the home. We rarely used the Zen Whisper and when we did it was on hardwood floors......gave it to my son to use worked fine the first 10-15 times then it simply died. A cleaner should last more than 30 uses. We have cleaned every filter. It will not even make a hum.......simply will not turn on
Good vacuum until wand got stuck in the power nozzle
from Vancouver, BC, Canada
I had this vacuum gifted to me 2 years ago by my father and it's been a good vacuum cleaner until the Hoover Quick Disconnect Assembly (Part #38646097) broke and wouldn't release from the Hoover Power Nozzle (Part #90001377). I only started using the Power Nozzle about 5 months ago because I got bought a carpet 5x8 and the Power Nozzle is better at cleaning carpet. So in 5 months, the Quick Disconnect Assembly broke under minimal use... I took it to a local vacuum repair shop and unfortunately paid over $80 dollars just to repair the Quick Disconnect Assembly. If I were to purchase a new Quick Disconnect Assembly from online it would cost me $35.26+tax and I would have to over a week. I asked the repair shop if the mechanism would break again and the repair shop said they recommend that I leave the Power Nozzle attached to the Telescopic Wand so it doesn't break again. I then had buy an aftermarket wand to use for my other vacuuming needs. Overall I am quite disappointed in the quality of Hoover's product. The 1 year warranty is proof of the quality. My parents have an old Electrolux for over 15 years and they have never had any problems. If your Hoover vacuum breaks you're better off buying another one because it's not worth repairing it; or going with another brand. You get what you pay for I guess. Unless Hoover's customer service goes above and beyond, I think I will be recommending a different brand. William Henry Hoover is turning in his grave...

I've always admired Hoover for their quality. When I bought this vacuum I thought I was making a wise investment while swearing off any Shark products that proved to be cheaper but truly unreliable junk and really bad customer service. Sadly, although the low level of noise the vacuum makes it has been a big expensive disappointment from the beginning. I religiously, as painful and annoying as it was, I would clean out the power head of hair that immediately sticks aroung the sides of the brush that will jam it up. So my diligence of keeping it clean does not lend to the problem that the brush is now intermittently working and vacuuming is once again a frustrating pain the the rear....not counting the annoyance of cleaning the brush every single time I've vacuumed! I agree with many of the reviewers that the hose twists often and I find myself dancing with this contraption to keep the momentum going while untwisting. It's so very very disappointing how manufacturers are charging us poor schmucks so much money for junk. I guess I will have to rip out carpets and live with floors. I will not buy another vacuum. The oÃ+/-ly one left to try is Dyson and I won't bounce for that price to experience the same. Sorry Hoover, you've added your products into the great American rip off. You used to be good.....
power head terrible

I am a housekeeper on the beach

I clean vacation homes on the beach and had this one, or the previous 2 years ago. It takes all the sand , because it has no rotating brush, like the uprights. If you have hard floors and short in length carpets in your house, this one is the best. And I tried all kind of vacuum cleaners over 13 years now. I wished I had one in my house with all my doggy hair. Rotating brushes which come with the uprights, don't help with pet hair. Overall: Great Suction on sand, easy to handle, easy to lift up and Hoover is responding here, that I call great Customer Service.
Very happy with the Unit. The service is excellent
