The hose is now shorter

Comments about Hoover T-Series Windtunnel Upright Vacuum:
I've bought Hoover vacuums for 30 years now, they have always been the best. The one I got today, a Hoover Rewind, is still good, except the hose is just not long enough and must be stretched irritatingly much to snap in, and can't reach spider webs on the ceiling even with all the hose extenders/attachments. Also, it seems Hoover decided to save money on the plugs, since they now pull out of the wall very easily. You may think two stars is a harsh rating for a few little problems, but I am asking myself, "Does anyone at these factories bother trying out what they make?" And---vacuum cleaners are a pretty old technology...just saying.

I bought this vacuum because my last one was a Wind Tunnel and loved it. Went with this one because of being bagless, to save money on bags. It works great on carpet, but not on bare floor. It throws a lot of the debris, like cat litter and bird seed. I'm back to my broom and dustpan. I also have to empty the waste container at every room, otherwise it plugs up in the hose. Sometimes I have to use a wooden spoon handle to help pull the debris out. The upholstery attachment is a joke, too. My hand works as well as that thing. The retractable cord is great, but short. I've had this unit for two years now and really disappointed with it. I used it yesterday and it just quit midstream, thinking it come unplugged, no, it just quit. Now I'm taking it to a repair shop. Maybe I just got a lemon, but either way, it should last more than 2 years. My last Wind Tunnel probably lasted 15-17 years. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I had to vent on this.

The engineers went out to lunch on how to rate a 12 amp motor and spec it for a 6 amp switch??? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you would only have so many on off's of the switch before it burns up??? Duh....
Great Features on the Wind Towel like the rewind cord
from Ortonville, MN
I like the automatic rewind cord wish it was a little longer. It picks up real good better than the last vacuum I had. Hoover is a great brand.

I got this vac, and it is incredible. The amount it picks up is unbelievable. Its cord is long enough and winds up which is nice. The washable filter is also handy. The amount of suction is awesome. Sexy Vaccum

Not usable to clean hard surfaces?
from Boulder, CO, United States
Ever try to turn off the brushroll? Cause I am right now and I just poured over the manual only to find it is a danger to carpets and can be cleaned. Nothing about turning it off though. The thing is amazingly powerful, something I like normally. But when every piece of debris on my kitchen floor is being slung like it just came out of a tornado right at my toes I'm not as big a fan.

This machine has very good suction. However, it is heavy, noisy, clumsy to operate and made, primarily of brittle plastic. Overall, very disappointed.

We bought this to relace our 10 year old monster vac It is much lighter then the old onemaking handlng easier. When used for the first time after having already vacumed the rugs, we we amazed at how much this hoover vacum picked from an already cleaned rug, or so we thought had been cleaned! We reccomend this product not just for the very reasonable price but for the amazing suction ability. If you are considering a new vacum this is the one!
