On My Third One
from Wisconsin, United States
Comments about Hoover WindTunnel 3 Pro Upright Vacuum:
On my third one not because I love it. But, because the first two each lasted about a month and it would not power up. Just got my third one from the store today. Luckily the store takes returns. Great store but bad product life.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My wife received this vacuum as a prize from her employer. It has great suction and cleans the carpet well. My frustration is how often I have to dismantle this unit and clean the filters and canister to keep it running. We have a modest 3 bedroom ranch style home and about every 3rd vacuuming it starts to overheat and the safety shutoff kicks in and it stops running. Sometimes it's because of a plug some where but not always. This unit plugs way to easily and requires the filters to be cleaned way to often. I know our carpets are not that dirty as I had the professionally cleaned 2 months ago.

very poor quality
from Queens, NY, United States
I purchased this vacuum about a year and a half ago. I dont vacuum much so it isnt used daily or even weekly. Since I have had it, the cord is being eaten away, the cord doesn't consistently retract into the machine, the suction has reduced dramatically, dirt gets stuck easily in the hose , and now I have to replace the belt. Ive sat on my floor and taken this vacuum apart 3 times since Ive owned it!!! My prior vacuum I had for 15 years and NEVER had an issue with it and also never had to replace the belt!!!! I went with Hoover because of their history. I thought they were great quality due to their historical name in the industry. Unfortunately, I was wrong......
Got it as an early gift and it has no belt!! Seems like it'd be a good vacuum but without the belt, it's just a big door stop.

I love this vacuum. Its quietier than my old vacuum and its lighter in weight. I love the way the cord that is attached can be sucked up into its own compartment and it really sucks up everything.

Too Much Suction!
from Los Angeles, CA, United States
I bought this on sale at Target. I have a low pile oriental rug 9x12 (not real) and it is the first thing one steps on when they come through the back door. I also have a German Shepherd that sheds a lot and tracks dirt into the house. I put the machine on the middle height setting. It picked up some debris but didn't really brush the rug.It didn't pick up hairs nor crumbs. I went to the lower height. I couldn't push the machine! It sucked so hard the machine wouldn't move unless I really pushed hard. It "did" pick up the hair but even my husband had trouble pushing it. Not good! I returned it to Target. Is there such a thing as too much suction? There has to be a happy medium . .doesn't there?
wind tunnel pro
from Haslett MI
I received the wind tunnel two weeks ago. I have always liked Hoover. It is a good product. So far it has working well. It picks up very well which is great because I have a yellow lab that sheds a lot. Also, it is very easy for me to clean it and check the filters. This is important to me because I only have the use of one hand. Ask me again to write a review in six month. Would like to tell you again about my vacuum.
Hoover replaced my former vac with this one & I am happy with the job it does
from Home in Ia.
I enjoy the fact the vac does a great job, but does't weigh a ton!!
