Great Downdraft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JenAiir downdraft is a little noisy but nothing to bad. My one concern is that the vent when extended up is wobbly as if it does not have enough support. Also the slider switch on the side for speed control could be improved since it does not have clear click points for each speed

Works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The downdraft is sleek and does an amazing job. The vents are easy to remove and dishwasher safe!

Works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works well. My only issue is the extreme amount of grease or lubricant that is randomly on the back side when it is raised up. Looks gross.

Clean low profile vent design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the clean lines of the recessed exhaust vent. Easy to operate and not too noisy. I would recommend this unit.

Does a great job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit looks great, the height of the downdraft vent and powerful suction does a great job in removing cooking smells. Unit is easy to install but is bulky and does take up about half the cabinet space under cook top. When the switch is pushed to raise or lower downdraft vent, it cannot be stooped until its fully raised/retracted. The switch can get stuck under the top stainless trim.

Excellent Choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When redoing my cooktop, from propane to induction, I wanted a downdraft like the one I was replacing—part of cooktop. However I chose the telescoping downdraft. Was uncertain when it was installed, hesitant to embrace, but man-oh-man do I love it. The exhaust is perfectly placed to remove steam and fumes from small and large pots as well as saute pans and grills. And the downdraft disappears when not in use. The fan was installed remotely resulting in the unit being almost silent.

Works great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had our fan replaced about one month ago and are very happy we did. Before there was smoke and smells from whatever we were cooking. Now that is all gone with our new fan. The only thing is I wish it was not as loud.

Quiet, yet powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model replaced the existing Thermidor fan from the early 2000s. It is much quieter and more efficient- and very easy to keep clean.

So far so good...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look and functionality of it. It’s a little loud in the highest setting but does a pretty good job doing what it’s supposed to do.

Sleek and Functional
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our broken downdraft vent so we already had the duct work done. I installed myself in an evening. Went pretty smoothly. This thing works and looks great. Highly recommend.

Star Wars Vent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So cool to have super quiet retracting vent. Awesome combination with induction cooktop. Contractor made super neat pullout storage shelf that "wraps around" blower box under stove for maximum storage & utility.

Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this ventilation system to go with the cooktop. Compared to my previous telescoping system, this one is extremely loud. Forget having a conversation with anyone in your kitchen. In addition, the vent barely pulls steam, etc from the pots and pans even at full blast from the back burners. Nothing from the front burners vents back. What a waste of money!!

Less thank anticipated
The microwave does not back light its numbers; loud closing the door; does not allow for "instant" timing, i.e. hitting the 1 for a one minute process. For the price, I really believed I was getting a top of the line microwave.

sleek downdraft
I bought this downdraft to replace an old one that wasn't working when I remodeled my kitchen. It seemed to be a bit hard to replace because I think the pipe I had before was bigger than what this one needed. It is nice looking, sleek and seems easy to clean.

Great downdraft
This was a replacement downdraft along with a Jenn-Air cooktop, (also very pleased with). It works very well with 4 speeds, the highest being noisy but to be expected since its working well to remove odors, the lowest speed is very quiet. The control is on the side of the vent keeping the outer appearance very sleek looking. I cannot comment very much on the Pros and Cons since this is such a new product for me and also because some of the items are non-applicable for me.

Smooth functioning and good functioning height
Nice tall height when raised works much better than older fan we had. High quality construction with smooth up and down movement. Fan is loud on high, but any model of downdraft is equally as loud. On lower speeds much quieter, but still works to remove steam when boiling.

Functional Downdraft
Excellent performance for a downdraft. Difficult to install and align with a cooktop. Trim surface mars easily. Trim caps don't install well and look right

jenn air contacted me for a review so here it is
nice looking item, easy to install, I have it installed but have not moved in new home yet, for now it goes all the way up and drops about 1 inch and works fine !! but to get it to go down you have to push button twice more, I am thinking quality control at factory, surely they make sure it works before leaving or else something happened to it in transit, gonna contact jenn air once I move in for repair ' More latere

Excellent downdraft that hides from view
This a great downdraft that rises high enough to capture all the steam that you want to remove.

Wrong part sent from Factory for a 36" downdraft fan
Received the wrong 6" diameter vent transition w/damper in a factory sealed box. Not even close to a fit. Not sure how someone places an item in a box and can't tell by looking at the unit, its the wrong size.... This set my schedule back about 7 days, I should request Jenn Air pay for the delay with my contractors!! Not cool. Should have opened the box at the store....

Excellent Product
Installation was more difficult than expected as the unit is quite heavy. This unit provides adequate ventilation. It raises / lowers very smoothly and is easy to clean. The highest fan setting produces more noise than we had hoped, but as mentioned earlier, the ventilation provided is very good.

Jenn-Air Ventilation Comments
We purchased this to go along with our Jenn-Air 5 burner cooking unit for an upgrade of our kitchen. The two are perfectly matched. the new look, with our other new appliances turned out even better than we had anticipated. Very pleased.

Broken out of the box before I even used it. Don't buy it!
We recently remodeled our kitchen and purchased the Jenn-Air pop up to go with our new Wolf cooktop. When the installer installed both pieces, the Jenn-Air pop up didn't work. We had to then go through the hassle of a 3-week process of talking to the dealer where we bought it, go through the process of having a repair man come and look at it, and then come back over a week later and replace the motor--ON A BRAND NEW APPLIANCE!!! This has been a frustrating, ridiculous, aggravating experience. I don't think it is too much to ask that a brand new, out of the box Jenn-Air appliance would ACTUALLY WORK! Clearly, Jenn-Air does not have any quality control if a brand new appliance needs a new motor. Jenn- Air should have replaced this clearly faulty appliance rather than make us go through this hassle. Also, no one from Jenn-Air ever contacted me regarding this. Now I have no idea if this appliance with ever work properly, or continue to be a Lemon". There needs to be "lemon laws" to protect consumers from faulty appliances like this one.
