Comments about KitchenAid 19.6 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Monochromatic Stainless Steel:
THE DRAWS ARE CHEAPLY MADE ,THE BOTTOMMDRAWER IS TO LONG IN WIDTH AND SHOULD BE TWO DRAWERS SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP OPENING TWO DOORS TO ACCESS AN ITEM. CHECK OUT THE FRIDGEAIRE MODEL MUCH BETTER. SORRY I BOUGHT THIS MODEL. WOULD LIKE A REFUND !!!!!!!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Our old refrigator was a Kitchen-Aid, approx. 22 yrs. old. Good machine-finally gave out. This new one is adequate but has a couple of poor design features-the double doors only open 3/4 of the way making it difficult to access the interior. Also removing and replacing shelves for cleaning is doubly so. The water dispenser feature is always nice but having it inside means the door is open half the time, especially with kids. I bought this frig because it needed to fit in the available space. I noticed that 90% of refrigorators in the marketplace today are huge.
Nice refridge but not enough shelves had to relocate some to fit milk cartons and 2 liter pop bottles
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Shelving a bit quiky
from New Hampshire
Overall a great fridge. The shelving is a bit quirky, had to remove a shelf to fit larger items.

Been looking for a fridge this size with these features for many years. I live in a condo so have limited space. Bought 2 months ago. Working well.

I bought this fridge last month and when i went to have the water hooked up, it leaked all over the inside of the filter unit. Apparently according to the repair guy the connection tubing it kinks quite often. I'm still waiting for the part, as it is not kept in stock. The rest of the fridge is great so far. We will still have to test the water and Ice dispensers when they are hooked up. More to follow
I love my refrigerator !
I am so happy that I dis this purchase.. it is quiet efficient et look great

My old fridge was a Kitchenaid, but much larger. I'm somewhat disappointed in the vegetable bins, etc. The plastic seems very cheap compared to the glass bins in my old fridge. Also I'm not sure the French doors close correctly; hopefully I will get use to them and trust that they are closed. I live in a condo so I do like the size, the access to the water filter and filtered water.
Just the perfect size
from Arlington heights, IL
This was exactly what I was looking for--bottom freezer and I love it. French doors is what I wanted and I was able to find the this perfect size, which is a lot smaller than other models. My house was built in 1961, so the space I had was slightly limited. For the 2 of us and the size of the kitchen, it is just the perfect size. I also like the hideaway shelves inside. Works great for a few taller items. there does not seem to be too much wasted space. The drop down box on the door is not real useful, but i am learning to live with and use it. The water spigot is inside the door. Good place for it. Not sure how much I will use it. the quality overall is good.
