Comments about KitchenAid 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Microwave - Stainless Steel:
We had this microwave installed when our home was built. It was an over-$1,000 option. For a microwave! My parents bought a microwave when they built their home too... In 1981. It was Maytag...it still works.Ours does not. It just out of nowhere began not heating very quickly. We have tried using different heat settings, there seems to be no easy fix. After doing a Google search it appears that this is common. And looking online, there doesn't appear to be a reliable fix. Trying to fix it involves spending hundreds of dollars to have someone come out and try to fix it, then failing and leaving you several hundred dollars more out of pocket as you begin to search for a replacement. With a $200 microwave, maybe I would grudgingly accept it as getting what you pay for, but this is kitchen aid and over a thousand dollars. You may win the short term battle kitchen aid, by not acknowledging this known problem and correcting it for your customers. But you lost the war with me. I have a Bosch dishwasher and Samsung refrigerator that I love. Guess what brands of microwave I will be looking at to replace this kitchen aid?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

So I bought the unit and installed it (partially) and discovered one of the internal nuts was missing so I could not support it from the cabinet. Called Kitchenaid, they were nice and sent out a service tech. He did know how to fix it, called another guy who told him it was just a loose nut (no clue...). Supposedly ordered the part, have not heard from them in two weeks now. So my new microwave is supported by a 2x4 from the counter. A real nice conversation piece for my new kitchen.
Has more features than we'd normally need, but great

Was looking for an 36in microwave over range that was stylish, had good cooking watts as well as outside venting options. The Kitchenaid cook top definitely fit the bill. Thanks Kitchenaid!

I purchased this outstanding product a couple of months ago for my newly renovated kitchen! It fits perfectly under my cabinet over my new induction ready stove top! I called it my spaceship for it modern style and up-to-date technology! It does everything u would want a microwave to perform! My husband & I are absolutely fascinated with its versatile various features! It's simple to use once you acquire its performances! I would definitely recommend it to all looking to buy a new microwave.
GREAT LOOK, BAD QUALITY!!
from CONROE, TX.
I LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS MICROWAVE AND IT LOOKS GREAT WITH MY KITCHEN, UNFORTUNATELLY IT DIDN'T LAST LONG. I'VE ALWAYS TRUSTED KITCHEN AID BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED OF THE POOR QUALITY OF MY MICROWAVE. IT'S NOT CHEAP AT ALL AND NOW THE BAD PART IS THAT THERE'S NO OTHER 36" IN IN A DIFFERENT MODEL. IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN AND REPAIR.
Great Features!! Love the look, and inside.

Purchased a new home with Kitchaid products, and I absolutely love them! I bought the refrigerator myself, and debated whether I wanted a Samsung; I'm so glad I stuck with the Kitchaid product; I love the way my new kitchen looks, and the way my products work. I'm convinced my products were the right choice; Go American! Mary
A very nice microwave

I wanted a 36'' over the stove top microwave and this is the only one I could find. Although it is pricy, it is a good microwave. It is powerful, large interior , nice features and impressive styling. There and many automatic cooking modes which work well.

It replaced a 36" over the range microwave that was discontinued. It's bigger: 4" beyond front of cabinet, the bottom slants down to the back where it is 4" larger than the original. It is loud when running. It does offer features in the menu on different types of foods and different cooking methods.
