Basic microwave. But we don't need much functionality. We don't rely on a microwave for food preparation. We purchased the Trim Kit and had installed in cabinet.

This unit looks great and is so quiet. This is our second unit. The first one just quit after 2 weeks of use. Kitchen Aid was very nice about getting our replacement. It is working great and we love it.

This is my third microwave in three months. First one was dented, second one was not operating as expected but the third time is the charm. It works fine, but if I hadn't been trying to match the existing appliances I would have looked at other brands. Kitchen Aid used to be the best but I'm not sure that's true anymore.

I bought 2 months ago and thought I was just updating the appearance of my microwave with my other appliances. I thought my old one worked fine but DANG this one works circles around my old kitchen aide one! Must be some major new technology in this - we love it
Control panel failed in 14 months

I would NOT recommend this product. The control panel failed just in time for the factory warranty to expire. The power changes willy-nilly and there seems to loose connection. The start button does not work often and upon shaking the unit a few times, it miraculously starts working again. The technician gave a quote of $99 to come and visit but also told that KitchenAid does not support any replacement parts. Most likely he will come (and charge $99) and recommend changing the unit. Since it is not in the warranty any more, i will have to pay for the replacement unit. What a bummer! I used the unit a 3 times every week, that translates to $2.8 per usage. Thats like buying a starbucks coffee for every warming exercise. Deeply disappointed with purchase. Kitchenaid, please make this right!

We bought this microwave in November along with a gas stove and dishwasher all Kitchen Aid. Our newly remodeled kitchen was completed 2 weeks ago and the microwave just stopped working. We are waiting to hear from the service department about what they plan to do about the unit. We were told it would be 7-10 days before we would hear back. Not to pleased with that. We hope we will have a functioning unit soon.

I bought this microwave as part of a multiple appliance buy from Kitchen aid. Unit functions well but has 3 functional problems: (1) the spin rate of the circular pate during the preset 30 second cycle is such that food item are not returned to the front of the microwave at the completion of the cycle; the same is true for all "even power settings (i.e. 10 seconds, 20 seconds, etc.)(2) there is no night light. (3) the latch is very loud and "tinny" sounding during both opening and closing. GRR
Excellent Warranty Service
The door switch failed in a manner that had the MW running even before we made input on time or power level. With a call to Customer Service the MW was replaced no charge and a delivery service installed the new unit.
