The only complaint I have is that the door is hard to open. It takes a lot of pressure on the bar to open it.

This replaced the same KitchenAid unit which was less than a year old. The button opener on the previous unit would no longer open the door. The microwave works efficiently but a handle would have been an advantage over the button. The unit continues to "beep" five times when the session is complete even if the door is opened to remove the food. (Unnecessary noise).

I love kitchen aid products but a bit disappointed in this microwave. In particular the temperature seems to be off. We are finding that most every use of full power is too hot and burns or scorches things being cooked. The auto popcorn buttons burn the popcorn... Full power and heat and eats also scorch. Disappointed!

Used KitchenAid microwave for a long time, glad I decided to pay the extra to get it again. It looks great with the built-in trim, but even better it still works great.

Purchased this microwave less than two years ago (along with the installation kit) as part of a kitchen remodel. I like white appliance but my new jenn-air cook top only comes in Black. This model is white with a back glass that worked well with my kitchen. Worked fine one minute and the next it was sparking and flaming. Seems like it should have lasted a few years longer.

Had it for about 2-1/2 years. One day, heard a loud spark and it stopped working. Called repair guys and paid for the visit. They said that the magnetron is not working. They were going to replace it. However, for this particular model, that part is not available. So, the only option is for us to buy a new one. This is the second KitchenAid product that gave us trouble. We had to replace a part of the dishwasher as well earlier. At least we were able to get the part for it. Our builder chose this brand. Since every other appliance in the kitchen is of the same brand, we cannot just buy a better microwave from a company that we prefer.

I bought this 3 years ago and stopped working already. It doesn't lived up with my expectation on your company and what your products promised to be.

Purchased a new home with upgraded KitchenAid appliances one year ago. One week after the 1 year limited warranty expired the microwave door would not open. Called KitchenAid to fix the microwave, they do not fix counter microwave nor do they sell the parts for someone else to fix them. Wrote Kitchenaid a letter and talked to several rep's, no one could help us. Apparently this microwave is considered a throwaway, so if you have a choice do not buy this microwave.
