Comments about KitchenAid 25.19 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Stainless Steel:
Constant ice buildup in the freezer. Only been using for four months. Door doesn't seal properly despite a service call and a "repair". The technician made a mess, gouged my new hardwood floor and made me get him a hair dryer and towels and help him move the fridge. And then blamed me for the damaged floor in his very poor English. And now I have to call them again three weeks later.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Practical and convenient
I love the pull out drawer in the bottom of the refrigerator. It makes it easy for children to grab a quick snack. I specifically choose this refrigerator because it didn't have the water and ice dispenser on the out side of the door. I did this because I did want water leaking on my new hardware floor. The only con is that it is loud on occasion. I think it has somethin to do with the water dispenser or ice maker.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I just had my new refrigerator installed and I couldn't be happier. There is so much room in it. have't filled the freezer yet so can't say to much about that. Love the look!

I love my new side by side fridge. The storage space is great and there is plenty of room for everything.

We are very happy with our purchase. The ice maker is sluggish, but we are having no problem getting it replaced. Kitchenaid has been wonderful to work with.
Works great, Looks Grear!

This unit came down to proper operating temps quickly and has stayed there consistently. The previous frig needed constant attention to get it to correct temps and keeping it there. This unit unit is great looking, and works well. We are very happy with it.

... I hadn't had to have service come multiple times to try and fix a 'knocking' noise when I dispersed water. I had the same refrigerator in my last home and never had a problem with it. The issue was finally resolved and they found that the 'bladder' in past refrigerators had been changed out for 'lines' which was causing the knocking noise. They replaced the lines with a bladder and voila; no noise. Other than that, happy with this refrigerator/freezer as I was with my last.
Freezer door locked and Terrible Customer Service
By Consumer without KitchenAid refrigerator
from Jersey City, NJ
This refrigerator came with the house that I purchased as part of upgrade. Per the Serial and model number, it was purchased in January 2012. At the end of May 2015, I came from my business trip that the Freezer door was completely locked and could not be opened. The Certified technician sent by KitchenAid told me that he couldn't open the door and I have to 'figure out' to open the door and then contact them again. He advised to turn off the refrigerator and wait until ice is all melted inside the drawer as he suspected somehow, the water got frozen and stuck with the basket. I've been living for 2 weeks without refrigerator and was trying to escalate this to the customer service as an exceptional and highly unusual experience. All they could offer was to make another appointment with more experienced technician. Then, why did they send me a novice technician. What kind of customer service tells the consumer to solve the problem and then call them back? Then, why do I need customer service if I can do 'self' service? Other than sub-contracors, they had no option. Plus, my home was vacant while I was away for business trip and the fridge was working fine before I left. Without particular cause, this pretty much represents how reliable their appliances are. Absolutely terrible experience to hang their customer to live without refrigerator in the summer.
Best purchase i have ever made

as being old (84) I had trouble bending down in my old fridge with freezer on top. This is so easy to just open the door and there everything is stored where I can see the items comfortably. it is so quiet, I hardly know that it's there. I had a ice maker installed and it works great, also. buy it! you will love it!
