Attractive Addition to the Kitchen
By St.Louis Woman
from St.Louis, Mo.
Comments about KitchenAid 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Black:
It is a beautiful appliance(I especially like the pocket handle)and we're pleased with it's performance. Although, I don't see how the later model dishwashers can claim to be energy savers; running over 2 hrs. (twice the time of our old one. Also, The digital touch control panel on the door looks nice but I have to be on guard whenever I am working at the counter in front of it; the slightest bump starts it running when it's off or changes cycles when it's on. You asked so I'm giving you my opinion; the good and the bad.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

LOVING MY NEW DW
from Columbus NC
I have had my new dishwasher for a week and the only complaint is I CAN'T HEAR IT WHEN IT IS WORKING! Yippeee the old one was so loud we could here it on the other end of the house! Thank you KitchenAid for a job well done!
My experience with this dishwasher ...
from Lewes, Delaware
We initially ran the machine on the Rinse cycle. Found the interior very wet. Next time, I tried the Quick cycle (1 hour). Found the interior 'somewhat' wet. Third time tried the Normal cycle, which is when the interior of the unit was the most dry, although some of the utensils had to be hand dried (note: dishes came out very clean). I do have another KitchenAid dishwasher and do not have that issue. Not sure what's going on but will run a few more cycles before calling customer service. Lastly, I found that the controls on the front of the machine turn on if you happen to lean up against the dishwasher. There is a cabinet just above the dishwasher so it has turned on several times as I reached for my dishes.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Dishwasher is very quiet. Looks great. Had to get use to the length of time it takes to run thru cycle. Dishes come out clean.

It is so very quiet, and it cleans well! Although I only used it only a few times since I got it. No problems whatsoever. And it looks nice.Very happy with it.
Efficient, well made
I recently purchased. They suggest that you use premeasured detergent as opposed to the powder I was using so I must dispose of what I had in the house. There is not a lot of room underneath to install and some of the tubing sits on the floor. A lot of plastic. Best if you have a plumber install a shut off under the sink with a plug for convenience. Seems to be quieter than my old GE which apparently failed during kitchen renovation because it was moved too much

My new dishwasher is so quiet that I have to put my ear to the door to make sure it is running. Very efficient, cleans well. The only thing I would say needs improvement is that glass stemware in the upper right rack sometimes is not as sparkling as others. Depends on what is just below it on bottom rack. Too many bowls deflects water spray.

I really love the way my dishes come out and the silverware is very bright and shiny now. It is extremely quiet, infact, I often check if it actually running. It does take longer than my old one, but the results are worth it.
Dishes so clean, Dishwasher so quiet
from Carmel, CA
We are very pleased with this dishwasher -- it just seems smaller, or the racking arrangement not quite as generous as our earlier dishwasher which was a Kenmore Elite. We moved on after 8-9 years or so because dishes just didn't seem clean and sparkling. This kitchen aid, purchased on sale, is wonderful. Would given it the extra star if i could squeeze a bit more in -- but probably better this way anyway. Water saving ability does mean a load takes longer to run -- so be it! Oh, to start dishwasher you have to hit the button twice -- strange!
Love,Love, Love it!

It gets the dishes sparkling clean and has a large silverware basket so the silverware is not crowded. Offers all the cycles that I would possibly need.
