Exactly what was needed.
from Saint Louis
I bought this to replace an existing KitchenAid which was calcified and sprayers weren't working anymore despite our best efforts to clean them. This newer model has much smoother sliding racks, utensil basket for sliding in each spoon, knife or fork into a slot so that cleaning can hit all sides. Not too many bells and whistles but is easy to install, use and appearance is clean. Do make sure to measure your opening at the smallest/narrow height and width. You can always extend the legs to make the washer higher but the specs given don't take into account the fabric insulation .5" or so which makes squeezing it into a tight place more difficult.

Does a great job
from Huntington Beach, CA
This dishwasher is so quiet that I thought it wasn't working the first tiome I used it. The dishes come very clean and so does the silverware, which was always a problem with my old dishwasher. I love it!
I love it!

I've had this about a month and can't believe the sparkle and shine on my dishes and glasses. It's so very quiet I often wonder if it's running at all. Another great feature is the ease with which the trays glide in and out. Buy it!
Wow! What a dishwasher!

When I went looking for a new dishwasher, I was impressed with the many features of the Kitchen Aid appliance. I had previously owned another brand, and it broke down after 14 months. What impressed me the most was the type of warranty that was offered with Kitchen-Aid. The best part of it all is that it really washes and dries like is is advertised. Thanks Kitchen-AidSincerely, Bill Potter

I purchased this a month ago and love it - it does a tremendous job on our dishes and glassware. Even my husband iS impressed with the George Forman grills. Fantastic results.

It is so quiet you hardly know it is on. I like the cycle choices. They fit all my needs. The pocket handle makes it low profile in my new kitchen. My only problem is me, I'm short and when I reach for items in my cabinet it always bump against it and turn it on. I just have to remember to not close it tight. It's the best dishwasher I have had,

the KitchenAid dishwasher (KDFE104DBL1) does a decent job of washing dishes, however it does not completely dry them. Even when they are left on the dry cycle overnight, they can still be wet, especially the silverware. There also is often a musty odor after the dishes are washed. Neither of these issues were a problem with the 30 year old dishwasher it replaced. On the plus side, it is extremely quiet- something we are very pleased with.
Waiting to be Wowed...
from Denver, CO
I've had the dishwasher for a month or two and am simply waiting to be wowed by it. The things I like about it are that it is attractive, quiet, and I like the interior slider shelves. Things I don't like...doesn't clean glasses real well. It also tends to get an unpleasant smell inside already.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
