Wonderful and quiet.

Comments about KitchenAid 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Black:
This dishwasher is wonderful. My only concern that I'll have to get use to is....being very careful not to lean up against it while working at the counter cause doing that, starts the washer. So.....I rigged up putting a towel hanging between the washer door and inside of washer. That way, the door can't close or lock. So far, it works. If you have any other suggestions, I would be glad to receive them. Thanks.....
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

So Far So Good

We've had this dishwasher for about three months and so far so good. It is very quiet and cleans efficiently. The only drawback is that it doesn't dry completely on the inside after the cycle and after putting rinsed dishes inside. We leave the door open a crack to dry it out. My sister has the same dishwasher and the same issue.

I bought this in June but did not install til mid August. By far the quietest dishwasher ever and true to Kitchenaid reputation, this machine works awesome! Well built, great product for the money
Have not used this dishwasher too many times yet, but think it is going to do a good job. It runs very quiet.

We replaced a 13 year old Kitchenmaid dishwasher which had served us well. So far the new dishwasher is performing well. It appears solidly built and is very easy to operate. There are a number of options which I am sure will prove useful in the future. A nice complement to our suite of kitchen products which are all Kitchenaid.

This Is one good machine! The stainless steel interior, the rack raise/lower mechanism, the filter, the power and how quiet it is! Amazing! I would recommend this dishwasher to everyone! Our old dishwasher was quiet and for a few years worked good but the plastic interior didn't last and the fact that it didn't have a good filter to catch all the "things" eventually stopped it up.Now we have Clean dishes!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace a worn out 9 year old Kenmore dishwasher. I looked at another leading dishwasher company too, but chose this Kitchenaid unit and it's sleek, stainless steel front because it was the best match to go along with my other existing stainless steel kitchen appliances in my house. The second big, and equally important, feature that sold me was the interior of the Kitchenaid vs its competitor. There is definitely more space for plates and taller tines for separating the dishes from one another than with the competitor.Sales rep told me this is a European vs American style approach in that European dishes are smaller in comparison to American dishes. Thus the difference in the height of the tines on the roller drawer and the overall layout of the roller drawer too. Really like the layout of the Kitchenaid and its dish holding capacity.Lastly, its priced better too and the entire inner washing compartment is stainless steel, unlike some of the competitor's units which had a plastic type bottom with stainless side walls. Noise levels on the various brands are all comparable so that really became a nonissue in the end.
