We've owned this dishwasher for a few months now and are happy for the most-part. It looks nice...is sleek and part of why we picked it out is that it doesn't have a handle. We considered upgrading to a model that has the control buttons along the top edge instead the front. I wish we would've paid the extra and gone with controls along the top. We are constantly bumping buttons, which starts some cycle or feature. Can be worrisome if you have small children or entertain. Maybe it has a "lock" feature? Honestly, I haven't looked into it yet. The wash cycles seem to clean the dishes really well. We just put it on the "ProWash" cycle and let it do it's thing. Haven't noticed any food left and dishes are sparkly clean. It is a long cycle. If you're in more of a hurry to get the dishes done, there is a speed cycle. My main gripe is that the dishwasher doesn't dry the dishes very well...at all. Which honestly, really annoys me. I read the manual and it clearly states that a rinse-aid is needed to dry the dishes effectively. Perhaps this is how the dishwasher is able to be so environmentally efficient? Less heat = less energy use? However, I hate the idea of buying more mystery chemical products in plastic packaging...kind of seems anti-environment. Am I right? I'm not sure what the rinse aid is made out of, but I can't imagine it's good for the environment...or to be on the dishes that you eat off of. I've dealt with the drying issue by just leaving the dishwasher door cracked open for a while after it's heat drying cycle is over. Everything finishes drying with a little old fashioned air flow. Overall, happy with this product, besides the button location and drying issue, which I think you will run into with all new dishwashers. Oh! Also, we are very happy with the noise levels...it's very quiet when running! You can hardly tell it's on.
Not to happy
from Rochester Hills, MI
I am disappointed. A repair man just left my house and I just can't believe that after maybe six weeks I needed to get my new dishwasher repaired. My last Kitchen Aid dishwasher was perfect and I cannot say that for this one. I hope the repairs do not continue
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I like my dishwasher!
from Walworth, Wi
My new dish washer is about a month old now and I couldn't be happier. It does a good job cleaning my dishes and is nice and quiet! KitchenAid has improved the design of the top rack sliding mechanism in the past couple years, so if you were unhappy with an older model, the new design is worth a look.
Kitchenaid comes through again
It's a great dishwasher, I just love it.
Quiet, efficient appliance!

I have had my Kitchenaid dishwasher for almost two months. I am very pleased with it. Most days you could hear me say to my husband, "I really love this dishwasher". It does a great job of cleaning the dishes and is very quiet. I love using the 4 hour delay. The silverware tray surprised me. I thought it looked a bit strange but it sure works well! It separates the silverware so that it all gets clean. The racks work great for my dishes.
Dishes that sparkle

Have had this dishwasher for 2 months and I love it. The first time I used it I couldn't believe how clean the dishes sparkled, they never could've gotten that clean with my old one. And the pots and pans come out just as shiny as if they were new. Quiet too.
Quiet as a church mouse

OMG, the salesperson did not exaggerate when she said this dishwasher was quiet! and by the way, it does a great job washing the dishes!
Love the quietness
from Evanston, Wyoming
We bought this when we remodeled the kitchen about two months ago. I love the quietness & sparkling clean dishes. It seems I can't get as much in it but there is just the two of us. Like the adjustable racks also.
Liked it so much I bought another one
Our previous dishwasher was KitchenAid and gave us many years of carefree service. So when it was time for another, KitchenAid was our top choice.
