Comments about KitchenAid 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless Steel:
This machine never performed very well. After 21/2 yrs and low usage, we replaced the pump at our expense and then the control panel (we paid labor). Now the machine performs as advertised. Neither Kitchenaid or the retailer were helpful. The replaced machine was much noisier, but did a better job.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love my new dishwasher, it is amazingly quiet and my glasses are really crystal clear. I didn't realize how my glasses were looking until the new one was installed. We did the installation by ourselves with no problems. The shelves glide out really easy as well because of the ball-bearing rack system instead of plastic wheels. We have had it for about a month and so far so good.

This dishwasher replaced another Kitchen Aid dishwasher which I'd had for 26 years. The new one has the same roomy interior, allowing me to place everything inside they way I want to. It is almost completely silent, causing me to check the first couple of times I used it to make sure it was on! Dishes and glasses come out spotless, and it is really easy to use.

We purchased this about one month ago. It cleans well and is very quiet when running.

Our last kitchen aid seemed so much better. It lasted us 17 years. This newer model does not seem to dry as well. There seems to be water left even after the hottest setting to dry.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
very quite Nice look

I was hoping to be able to wash my larger plates . This is not that machine as the spray bar hits them and the racks are not adjustable Just an aside. Also it is difficult to turn this on as you have to press and hold sometimes and not others .no you tube vid to tell you this either had to spend half and hour on the phone with CS who did not have the answer but did locate one ..

The dishwasher looks so sleek and I can't believe how quiet it is. I actually thought I didn't turn it on because I couldn't hear a thing. Love the way the silverware is separated.
So quiet... and doesn't leave water on the cups!

We replaced a 2 year old, contractor grade Whirpool rather than spend the $200 to repair it (only had a 1 year warranty). SO happy now! We never liked the flatware options (on the door, on outside of rack) on the Whirlpool and we ALWAYS had water left on top of the cups and glasses which we had to mop up with a towel. We looked at a Maytag, but the racks seemed to stick in floor models at three different stores. The racks on the Kitchen Aid roll smoothly and we seem to fit so much more in this one due to the configuration and spacing of the rack tynes and we really like the flatware caddy. The stainless steel tub makes it super quiet. Only issue is that we sometimes hit the controls accidently with our bellies when working on the counter above the dishwasher. It's not a huge deal... we've learned to work on one side or the other. I would maybe suggest getting a model with the hidden controls if countertop space is really limited.
